ORCHESTRA. Membership in the orchestra is open to all string players who can qualify and to other instrumentalists by invitation. The orchestra gives two concerts for the public, one in mid-winter and the other one in the spring. In addition, the orchestra plays for assemblies, plays, and commencement.
ORCHESTRA. Collectively the Musicians hired by the RPA to perform classical symphonic concerts and other events as directed by the RPA Board of Trustees.
ORCHESTRA. The Orchestra will be made up of a minimum of 42 musicians contracted for a minimum number of services and rates of pay as specified in Schedules “A” and “B”.
ORCHESTRA. Members of the Music Department participate in instrumental presentations throughout the school year. Occasions such as the Christmas and Spring Concerts, Baccalaureate, Graduation, special liturgies and assemblies are times when the Orchestra performs. Senior members of the Orchestra are required to play for Ring Mass, Baccalaureate and Graduation. Students usually join the instrumental department in their freshman year and are prepared to play with the upper-class orchestra members by the end of that year. Freshmen who have played an instrument in elementary school may be eligible, after an audition, to perform with the larger group. Since music is an elective major, the many programs presented during the course of the year are an integral part of the curriculum. The majority of these presentations are coordinated after regular school hours. Attendance at these after- school rehearsals is mandatory. Students interested in Concert Choir are required to take the Vocal Music class. This class is open to all students. Concert Choir members are required to participate in both the Christmas and Spring Concerts. Attendance at after- school rehearsals for the concerts is mandatory. Concert Choir members may also serve as the choir, cantors, or leaders of song for liturgical celebrations and special school assemblies. Senior members of the Concert Choir are required to sing for Ring Mass and Baccalaureate. Flowerettes is the advanced choral ensemble, consisting of 20 members. Membership is open to students who are serious about choral singing and committed to singing more difficult music. A vocal audition is necessary in order to gain entry into the group. Flowerettes participate in the Christmas and Spring Concerts and may perform at various functions throughout the year. Attendance is mandatory at both concerts as well as all other performances. Senior members of the Flowerettes are required to sing for Ring Mass and Baccalaureate. STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION The Student Government Association is composed of the following members: • President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer elected by the Junior Class • Student Council Representatives elected at-large by their respective classes (10 Seniors, 8 Juniors, 6 Sophomores, and 6 Freshmen) • One Homeroom Representative elected from each homeroom Students who wish to be considered for candidacy must meet the qualifications stated in the SGA Constitution which are published and posted prior to nominations an...
ORCHESTRA. The presenter to provide the following percussion/orchestra set in the rehearsal studio which will move to the performance venue at the conclusion of the rehearsal period:
ORCHESTRA. The Centre shall engage no fewer than fifty (50) Musicians for the seasons covered by the term of this Agreement. Each season shall consist of forty-six (46) weeks. Each Musician shall receive the minimum fee set forth in Article for the season for performingthe types of services set forth in Article The Centre will appoint a Personnel Manager. The initial appointment of this person must be approved by the Local. Insofar as the Personnel Manager is performing his duties as Personnel Manager, he is a member of the ,management staff of the Centre and shall report to and take direction from the Managing Director, or his designate. The parties recognize and agree that the Managing Director has the authority and responsibility to require compliance by Musicians to the terms of this Agreement and that he may delegate such authority and responsibility to the Personnel Manager. The Centre will appoint two (2) members of the Local as Librarians, both of whom shall receive not less than the current basic fee for services not to exceed thirty-five (35) hours weekly. For time in excess of thirty-five (35) hours, they shall receive one and one half (1 times their hourly rates to be computed in half-hour segments. A Librarian must be present on ail services including tours and run-outs. Gender Whenever the masculine is used herein, it shall also be considered to refer to the feminine. Whenever there is no Music Director, the Music Director Designate shall have the right to exercise all of the rights, duties and responsibilitiesof the Music Director under this agreement, except that the Music Director Designate shall not have authority to exercise the right to terminate the services of a Musician under Article for reasons other than just cause.

ORCHESTRA. The KSO is obliged to provide the accompaniment by an orchestra of relevant cast according to sheet music of particular pieces and strings 8, 6, 4, 4, 3 (service sharing of musicians for first three rehearsals is allowed).
ORCHESTRA. A. Role of Tenured Musicians: Except as provided for hereinafter, whenever a pit orchestra or a "pit" orchestra performing on stage is needed for engagements in the Opera House, Eisenhower Theater, Concert Hall and/or Terrace Theater, such engagements shall be offered first to tenured members of the House Orchestras, if such tenured members are available for the entire engagement, including rehearsals. "Tenured" as used in this Agreement shall be deemed to mean fully tenured and probationary players. (Attached as Appendix C is a list of current tenured members of the orchestras in the order of seating.) "House Orchestras" shall be understood to mean the ballet/opera orchestra or the musical/operetta orchestra, and the Music Director, in consultation with the Union shall decide in each case which orchestra shall play based upon the musical requirements of the particular engagement. "Music Director" shall mean (i) the General Music Director when referring to engagements of the ballet and/or opera and the ballet/opera orchestra and (ii) Music Director for Musical Theater when referring to musical shows, operettas or other shows featuring "swing" type music, including television shows such as, but not limited to, Xxxxxxx Center Honors and other gala television shows, or any other engagements played by the musical/operetta orchestra. It is intended (unless excluded herein elsewhere) that tenured musicians shall be offered such work first. It is intended that in those cases where the Center is not the employer, the Center shall make it known to the outside employer that its orchestra is available to play such engagements. Should the outside employer elect not to avail himself of this offer, it is understood and agreed that the Center shall be held harmless from any claims which may be made against it by the tenured members of its orchestra for the alleged loss of such employment. In the event that, during the term of this Agreement, the status of a particular engagement relative to the identity of employer changes from the Center as employer to an outside booking, this and any other affected provisions of this Agreement shall be re-opened for further negotiation. The use of the term "engagement" throughout this Agreement shall be defined as the entire length (rehearsals and performances) of a Company's residency at the Xxxxxxx Center.
