Rotation System a) Extra Duty Driving assignments shall be made using a rotational list of all eligible drivers who want to be on the list, ranked by the length of service as a District Bus Driver per section 8.8.1.1(a) above. b) Prior to the first day of school of each school year, each Driver will advise the Transportation Supervisor in writing whether he/she wishes to be placed on the rotation list for Extra Duty Trips. Employees not providing written notice, or employees requesting not to be included on the list, will be omitted from the list for the season (Fall, Winter, or Spring). c) As an extra duty trip becomes known, the Transportation Supervisor will utilize the rotation list and will offer the trip for the next available driver. d) Employees who are on the rotational list and, sign for and accept Extra Duty trips may decline for any reason up to two such trips per fiscal year without penalty. In the event of a third declination during the fiscal year for any reason, the employee shall be bypassed for the next following season (fall, winter, or spring) and the District shall post the trip on the Activity Bus Schedule for that particular season. The District may employ a substitute driver for any extra duty assignment declined by the driver that does not provide at least twenty-four (24) hours advance notice to the District Transportation Supervisor. e) For the purpose of this section, a "substitute" is any person who is qualified and licensed to operate the District bus, including regular District employees. The District may employ a substitute driver for any extra duty assignment that does not provide at least twenty-four (24) hours advance notice to the District Transportation Supervisor.
Rotation System. The Parties recognize the value of limited leaves of unit members from each of the two disciplines (Fire Suppression and EMS). The Parties recognize that unit employees will be required to perform EMS duties based on the level of their license as outlined in their official position description and assigned by their OIC. The performance of such EMS duties may be by bidding to or being assigned to an Ambulance or the Medic Engine or Ladder Company by the OIC. To this end, the parties (through their LMC) agree to implement as part of their Apparatus/Seat Assignment SOP, a rotation system for those unit employees that have Bid to and/or have been assigned to a specific piece of apparatus during any given year of the contract. The OIC will administer the rotation system of unit employees (Non-Fire Officers) on a quarterly basis to ensure that on all employees are rotating between fire suppression and ems proficiencies. To this end, the Parties agree that the SOP will include but not be limited to the following: a) When BFD Staffing is regularly authorized at nine [9] unit employees on duty per shift, unit employees will rotate on a quarterly basis from their primary yearly apparatus assignment to another piece of apparatus. The rotation shall include two [2] consecutive shifts on an EMS related apparatus and then two [2] consecutive shifts on a different Fire Suppression Apparatus before returning to their primary yearly assigned apparatus. b) When BFD Staffing is regularly authorized at ten [10] unit employees on duty per shift, unit employees will rotate on a quarterly basis from their primary yearly apparatus assignment to another piece of apparatus. The rotation shall include three [3] consecutive shifts on an EMS related apparatus and then three [3] consecutive shifts on a different Fire Suppression Apparatus before returning to their primary yearly assigned apparatus. c) The senior firefighters per shift may be exempted from this requirement if vacancies, training, or other non-discretionary circumstances make implementation unreasonable so long as these unit employees rotate at least one [1] shift quarterly. Rotation System. 1. A rotation system is a system in which periods of work and leave are repeated as regularly as possible. 2. The so-called 1:1 rotation system refers to an arrangement in which the work and leave periods are of equal length, and the 2:1 rotation system refers to a system in which the work period is twice (2) as long as the leave period. 3. The way in which the following rotation systems (A, B, C, and D) are implemented on board a vessel when it is operating a specific route is agreed upon between the shipowner and the Finnish Seafarers’ Union. In the same context, it must also be agreed on how the organisation of longer periods of single-period leave under rotation systems B and C is to be taken into account in the rotation and what changes this will entail in the length of working and leave periods. 4. Work and leave periods should be arranged in such a way that they are, on average, no longer than two (2) weeks (2 weeks work and 2 weeks off) unless otherwise agreed between the employees concerned. However, such an arrangement must be confirmed by the employer's representative. 5. Records of the rotation system are kept in the same way as stipulated in the Seafarers’ Working Hours Act in terms of daily working time records. The rotation system must be placed in a suitable location where it is easily accessible. 6. If necessary, additional staff will be taken on board the vessel to balance the periods of time off and work. The need may arise due to, for example, holidays, training, and sick leaves. 7. An employee shall be entitled to accrue vacation days earned under the rotation system during two (2) consecutive leave accrual periods that have not been used to implement the rotation system. The leave shall be granted at the time requested by the employee, provided that it is taken at a time which is convenient for the implementation of the rotation system and for other work.
Rotation System. 1. All Towing Agencies who enter into a Towing Agreement shall be placed on a towing services rotation list established by the Chief of Police or his designee(s). The list will be made available to the Office of Emergency Communications (hereinafter "OEC") who shall assign the requests for towing services which come into the Rochester Police Department (hereinafter “RPD”) to the different Towing Agencies on a strict rotation basis. If, for any reason, the Towing Agency assigned to a call indicates to the OEC Dispatcher („hereinafter “Dispatcher”) that it cannot accept the assignment or fails to respond to the Dispatcher after three (3) attempts via the RPD tow channel, within five (5) minutes, the Dispatcher may assign the call to the next Towing Agency on the list. A Towing Agency which indicates that it cannot accept a call when assigned by the Dispatcher, or which fails to respond, will forfeit its turn in rotation and will not again be assigned a call until the next rotation. Upon the acknowledgment of the towing assignment, the Dispatcher will inform the Towing Agency of the year, make and model of the vehicle being towed, to ensure that proper equipment is being dispatched. 2. A Towing Agency will be assigned for each incident, and such Towing Agency shall provide as many tow trucks as are necessary to remove the cars involved in that incident. If the assigned Towing Agency cannot supply enough trucks to remove all the cars, each succeeding Towing Agency on the list will be assigned the call until enough tow trucks are available. 3. If a situation arises in which special towing equipment is required, which equipment is not mandatory under this Agreement, the Dispatcher shall assign the call to the next Towing Agency on the list which has the special equipment. A Towing Agency not equipped to handle the assignment requiring special towing equipment shall not forfeit its turn in rotation. The Towing Agency assigned to the call will not again be assigned a call until the next rotation. 4. Nothing herein shall prevent the City from engaging the services of a heavy duty tow truck to respond to situations where two regular duty trucks, in tandem, are unable, or due to safety, not able to complete a dispatched towing assignment, or where vehicles in excess of 26,000 GVW are to be towed. 5. Rotation System. A rotation system means a system in which on-duty and off-duty shifts are repeated as regularly as possible. A so-called 1:1 rotation system means an arrangement in which equally long on-duty and off-duty shifts are repeated, and a 2:1 rotation system means a system in which an on-duty shift is twice the length of an off-duty shift. The selection of one of the rotation systems (A, B, C and D) referred to below to be applied when a vessel operates on a specific route shall be agreed upon by the shipowner and the Finnish Seamen’s Union. At the same time, they shall agree upon how the longer continuous off-duty periods included in the B and C rotation systems shall be taken into account in the rotation and what are the ensuing changes to the length of on-duty and off- duty periods. On-duty and off-duty shifts should be organised so that they are on average two weeks long (two weeks of work and two weeks of free time), unless the employees concerned otherwise agree. However, the employer’s representative shall confirm such arrangements. A register shall be kept of the rotation system in accordance with the provisions on the working hour register in the Seamen’s Working Hours Act. The rotation system shall be displayed in a suitable location where it is easily accessible. To balance off-duty and on-duty shifts, additional labour may be employed on a vessel when necessary. The need may arise due to, for example, holidays, training, and illnesses. An employee is entitled to take leave corresponding with the days off gained under the rotation system, if the days off have been accrued during two consecutive holiday credit periods and if they have not been used for implementing the rotation system. The time off shall be granted at a time requested by the employee, provided that it is suitable in terms of the rotation system and other work.

Rotation System. As of the effective date, Franchisee is an Official Police Tow Service for the City. Should the City designate additional Official Police Tow Services, the City shall implement a rotation system, as set forth in BPMC Chapter 100 or any successor thereto. The provisions of this Section shall not prevent the City from utilizing another towing service without implementing such a rotation system when, at its sole discretion, City determines that Franchisee is not able to adequately respond to a call for service.

The employee has the right, prior to going on the job, to decline and be laid off. They will be called back if and when openings in other classifications become available, in line with seniority. If agrees to assume the painter classification, it is expected that will start producing immediately, and that within a maximum of ten (10) working days will be producing at the same rate as any other average painter. During this period the employee will be given training and orientation. performance will be reviewed on a daily basis in order to assure that they are continually improving. If it is concluded, that the employee cannot meet the quality and production targets, then they the employee will be laid off, if no other job in the plant is available in line with seniority.
