Outstation Duty a) An Officer who is required to perform outstation duty involving overnight stay is eligible to claim Subsistence Allowance as follows:- Semenanjung Malaysia: Accommodation Provided - RM55.00 Sabah/Sarawak/Brunei/Singapore:- Accommodation Provided - RM75.00 b) For the purpose of this clause, “Duty” includes traveling time from the normal place of work or starting point of the journey whichever is more appropriate as determined by the Bank. c) For the purpose of this clause, “Day” means a continuous period of twenty four (24) hours beginning at any point of time. d) The rates for Brunei and Singapore will be in the local currency on a $ to $ basis. e) If an Officer is on outstation duty on any part of the day as defined under Clause (c) above he is eligible to claim Subsistence Allowance in part as follows:- Meal % of Subsistence Allowance Qualification (i) Breakfast 20% (i) Payable if an Officer leaves for outstation duties involving overnight stay before 8.00 a.m. (ii) However, an Officer who is eligible to overnight stay but chooses to travel early in the morning and returns the same evening is eligible to claim Subsistence Allowance for breakfast if he leaves before 8.00 a.m. (iii) Payable if an Officer performs outstation duty not involving overnight stay leaves before 8.00am provided if the total length of duty is not less than three (3) hours. (ii) Lunch 30% (i) Payable if an officer on returning from outstation duty involving overnight stay reaches Base after 2.00 p.m. (ii) Payable if an officer leaves for outstation duty not involving overnight stay before 12.00 noon and returns after 2.00 p.m. provided if the total length of duty is not less than three (3) hours. (iii) Dinner 40% (i) Payable if an officer on returning from the outstation duty involving overnight stay reaches Base beyond 7.00 p.m. (ii) Payable if an officer performs outstation duty not involving overnight stay beyond 7.00 p.m. provided if the total length of duty is not less than three (3) hours. f) Where meals are provided to the Officer, the appropriate percentage for each of the meals as stated above shall be deducted from the Subsistence Allowance payable. g) Subsistence Allowance is only payable if the outstation duty involves travelling beyond a radius of 25km from the officer’s base.

Outstation Duty. (1) A staff member who is sent on outstation duty to attend to aircraft engines, grounded aircraft or to perform aircraft salvage work shall be provided with –– (a) hotel accommodation based on the list of hotels approved by the Company; (b) the following inflight meal allowances when the staff member is on flight: breakfast (0730 to 0830 hours) –– $9.50 lunch (1230 to 1330 hours) –– $13.50 dinner (1930 to 2030 hours) –– $17.50 (c) daily allowance when the staff member is on the ground; (d) refreshments whilst at work; (e) minimum rest as follows: (i) duty period between 8 and 12 continuous hours rest after completion of job –– 12 hours (ii) duty period of 12 continuous hours or more rest after completion of job –– 24 hours (f) transport between the hotel and place of work at the overseas location; and (g) insurance coverage for loss of tools. (2) For the purpose of determining the minimum rest in sub-clause (1) of this clause, the travelling time from Singapore to the station concerned shall not be taken into consideration. (3) For the purpose of determining the daily allowance payable for the duty referred to in this clause, the day of departure from Singapore and the day of return shall be treated as two days.

  • Rejection During Probation ‌ (a) The Employer may reject any probationary employee for just cause. A rejection during probation shall not be considered a dismissal for the purpose of Clause 10.

  • Civic Duty Whenever an employee is served with a subpoena by a court of competent jurisdiction which compels his/her presence as a witness during his/her normal working period, unless he/she is a party to the litigation or an expert witness, such employee shall be granted time off with pay in the amount of the difference between the employee's regular earnings and any amount he/she receives for such appearance. This Article is not applicable to appearances for which the employee receives compensation in excess of his/her regular earnings. A court of competent jurisdiction is defined as a court within the County in which the employee resides or if outside the county of residence, the place of appearance must be within 150 miles of the employee's residence.

  • Standby Duty (a) An employee shall be on standby duty when required to be available for work outside their normal working hours, and subject to restrictions consistent with the FLSA which would prevent the employee from using the time while on standby duty effectively for the employee’s own purposes. (b) Compensation for standby duty shall be at FLSA-eligible employee’s straight time rate of pay or for FLSA-exempt employees hour for hour compensatory time off. Overtime hours shall be at the appropriate overtime pay rate pursuant to Article 32.

  • On-Call Duty 11.01 Both parties hereto accept that, in order to provide appropriate service and care to patients/residents/clients, on-call duty hours may be required to be worked by Employees in addition to regular hours. Positions that are designated for on- call duties must be approved by the Employer designate and the Regional Medical Lead of the Employer. During an on-call shift, an Employee may be required to take phone calls or attend on-site at the facility and perform duties if requested. The Employee is therefore required to be available to return to work without undue delay. On-call duty hours are not hours where an Employee is required to be, or remain, on-site at the facility awaiting assignment of work, including coverage of a shift for another employee or resident physician. 11.02 An Employee in a position with approved on-call duties shall not be scheduled to work such duties in excess of seven (7) times averaged over a four (4) week call period (1:4), unless otherwise agreed between the Employee and the Employer. The duration of an on-call shift shall be determined by the Employer, but shall not exceed twenty-four (24) hours. 11.03 An on-call stipend of $200.00 per twenty-four (24) hour on-call shift shall be provided. If two or more Employees split an on-call shift, the on-call stipend payable for that shift will be pro-rated between Employees that split an on-call shift. 11.04 In addition to the on-call stipend, an Employee that is on-call and required by the Employer to return to work shall be paid at time and one-half (1.5x) for all such hours worked. 11.05 Hours of on-call duty and hours worked after being called into work while on-call shall not be included in the calculation of bi-weekly hours of work (or hours of work over four (4) weeks for Part-Time Employees) or overtime hours of work. 11.06 If an Employee is on-call and is called into work for more than four (4) hours, of which more than two (2) full hours is after midnight and before 0600 hours, and the Employee is scheduled to work on a day shift commencing the morning immediately following the on-call shift, the Employer will make a determination of one of the following: (a) the Employee will be assigned administrative (non-clinical) duties during the day shift, and may be permitted to start the day shift at a later time but shall not suffer any loss of pay for the period of the shift that is not worked. (b) where no administrative (non-clinical) duties are considered necessary, the Employee will be rescheduled to commence clinical duties at 1300 but shall not suffer any loss of pay for the period of the shift that is not worked; or (c) where the Employer considers that the duties performed during the on-call shift were particularly onerous, the Employee will not be required to work on the day shift and shall not suffer any loss of pay. 11.07 The duration of a call back to work shall be calculated starting from the time that the Employee arrives at the facility until the time that the Employee is no longer required to be at the facility. Notwithstanding, the Employee shall be paid not less than time and one-half (1.5) hour at straight time for each call back to work, including call backs that are cancelled while the Employee is en route to the facility.
