MINIMUM REST. Except in a District emergency, employees will be required to have a minimum of ten (10) hours time off-duty between scheduled shift assignments, scheduled shift and training assignments, and scheduled shift changes on the effective date of a sign-up. When practical, this minimum rest will also apply prior to court appearances if minimum staffing will allow for the time off.
MINIMUM REST. 2.4.1. DAILY REST PERIOD Working hours shall be arranged in such a way that during each 24-hour period, starting from the beginning of the working day, the employee receives at least 11 hours continuous rest. If possible, this daily rest period shall include the period between 23:00 and 6:00. Work may not be arranged in such a way that the working period exceeds 13 hours.

MINIMUM REST. 02.05.01 Where an employee is required to work overtime and receives less than 4 consecutive hours off duty in the 11 hour period immediately prior to the commencement of their regular hours of work, that employee shall continue to be paid at twice their regular rate of pay for the hours worked until such time as they are relieved from duty. Such an employee, who is relieved from duty shall be paid at their regular rate of pay for the balance of their regular hours of work for the day.
MINIMUM REST. A Crewmember shall not be scheduled to receive less than the Minimum Rest, Release to Report Time, as set forth below. The scheduled Rest period may, in actual operations (e.g., due to the late arrival of a flight prior to the commencement of a scheduled Rest period), be reduced to the minimum times, Release to report, set forth in the applicable FARs.
1. A Crewmember shall not be scheduled on his Bidline to receive less than nine (9) hours of continuous rest between Duty Periods (Minimum Rest). However, if for operational reasons, the amount of actual rest is less than 9 hours, then for each hour or part thereof of rest less than 9 hours that the Crewmember receives, the next rest period shall be increased by the amount of time the preceding rest period was reduced below 9 hours.
2. On a Declared Severe Operations day, in order to protect the integrity of the flight schedules and to protect revenue, Paragraph D.1 above shall not apply and the Minimum Rest may be reduced, as necessary, to the Minimum Rest periods set forth in the applicable FAR’s.
MINIMUM REST. Aircraft and Simulator Training A pilot will be scheduled for a minimum of twelve (12) hours of rest between aircraft/simulator sessions. The twelve (12) hour period shall be measured from the scheduled end of the aircraft/simulator session (excluding debrief) until the report time for the pre-brief for the next session.
MINIMUM REST. No Station Agent shall be allowed to work more than twelve (12) continuous hours, nor shall any Station Agent be allowed to return to work with less than eleven (11) hours rest between work assignments.

MINIMUM REST. Period Employees shall normally be granted a minimum rest period of eight (8) hours before having to report back to duty, except in unusual situations, for training, manpower shortages or emergencies. The employer will make every effort to assure the eight-hour rest period; however, should an employee be required to report back to duty within the eight hour period of rest after training, overtime compensation will not be paid.
