Charges for meals and snacks provided by Employer The maximum amount that shall be charged or deducted where an Employee receives a meal or a snack from his/her Employer shall be as provided at Table 3 in Schedule 2. Meal break when required to work overtime Unless the period of overtime is one and a half hours or less, an Employee before starting overtime shall be allowed a meal break of 20 minutes which shall be paid for at ordinary rates. The Employer and an Employee may agree to any variation of this provision to meet the circumstances of the work in hand provided that no Employee shall be required to work more than five hours without a break for a meal.
