Paramedic Premium. 8.2.1 Paramedics shall receive twelve percent (12%) above the employee’s current classification who are certified as a paramedic both by Washington State and Pierce County. Officer paramedics shall receive 12% above Firefighter first class pay. The premium is considered pay for additional skills and responsibilities. The District shall assume responsibility for all training costs to maintain certification and continuing medical education of the paramedic. If, for any reason the District should terminate the ALS/BLS transport program, paramedic premium pay will be re- negotiated. Paramedics agree to teach OTEP continuing education. 8.2.2 Additionally, paramedics will receive three percent (3%) of 1st Class Firefighter pay on an hour for hour basis when assigned as the patient- care paramedic on a transport unit.

Paramedic Premium. 1. Qualified Paramedics shall receive 10% per month premium of the First Class Firefighter wage rate. This premium pay shall be factored into all overtime work for Paramedics.
Paramedic Premium. A unit member assigned by the Fire Chief, or his/her designee, to perform the full range of paramedic duties shall be paid a differential of 10% above step 5 Firefighter. Firefighters or Fire Engineers who are Paramedics and are promoted to Captain on or after January 1, 2008 recognize that promotion to Captain will mean voluntarily leaving the program and the Paramedic premium. Paramedic premium shall be incorporated into the unit member's compensation reported to CalPERS, in accordance with CalPERS law. Payroll documentation for Paramedic Premium Pay must be submitted for payment in the same pay period as the shift worked. Employees assigned to the Paramedic program will begin duty at the beginning of a biweekly pay period and will leave the assignment at the end of a biweekly pay period. The Paramedic Premium will increase by the same percentage as that used to increase base salary ranges for the unit during the term of the contract, so that it maintains a rate of 10% above step 5 Firefighter. Failure to possess and maintain valid certification to the standard set by the Fremont Fire Department will result in sanctions as provided in Article 8, Section 8.6, Maintenance of Certifications and Licenses, as well as suspension of the Paramedic Premium pay until a valid certification is obtained. It is the intent of both parties that paramedics not only maintain licenses and certificates, but also be able to perform skills adequately based on jointly developed performance standards in accordance with Alameda County EMS District protocols. Note: Additional provisions related to the Paramedic program are contained in Article 8, Sections 8.5 and 8.6 of this MOU.
Paramedic Premium. Shall be ten percent (10%) of First Class Fire Fighter, to each employee who is certified as a paramedic both by Washington State and Xxxxxx County with the exception of those identified in 8.2.1 and 8.

  • Shift Premium Full-Time and Part-Time Employees shall be paid a shift premium of one dollar ($1.00) per hour for all hours worked where the majority of their scheduled hours fall between 1500 and 0700 hours.

  • Night Shift Premium All hours worked by an employee between ten (10:00) p.m. and seven (7:00) a.m. shall be considered as shift work and paid for at the applicable straight time/overtime rate plus two ($2.00) dollars per hour shift premium for each full hour worked during this period. Night-shift premium shall not be added to the employee’s hourly rate of pay for the purpose of computing overtime pay.

  • Shift and Weekend Premium (a) An employee shall be paid a shift premium of eighty-five cents (85¢) per hour for each hour worked between the hours of 1500-0700 hours. (b) Effective July 1, 2013, an employee shall be paid a weekend premium of one dollar ($1.00) per hour for each hour worked between 2300 hours Friday and 2300 hours Sunday, or such other forty-eight (48) hour period as the local parties may agree upon or as defined in the Collective Agreement. If an employee is receiving premium pay pursuant to a local scheduling regulation with respect to consecutive weekends worked, the employee will not receive weekend premium under this provision.
