Pay for Working on Designated Holidays. If a covered member, as part of his/her regular work schedule, is scheduled to work on a designated holiday as set forth above, the covered member shall receive time and one‐half (1½x) pay for any regular shift hours worked on the holiday, and shall receive double time (2x) pay for any additional hours worked on the designated holiday as the result of continuation of any work assignment which originated during those regular work shift hours on that designated holiday. If a covered member is required to work any hours on a designated holiday which are not part of his/her regular work schedule, or which are worked as the result of a continuation of any work assignment which originated during his/her regular shift hours on the day prior to the designated holiday, the covered member shall receive double time (2x) for any such hours worked within the twenty‐four (24) hour designated holiday period. For purposes of this section, hours considered on the holiday shall be any hours between 0001 and 2400 hours.

With the implementation of the Modified 4-2 schedule, Patrol covered members will receive eight (8) hours of premium pay (1½x) and one-half (½) hour of straight/regular pay for each eight and one-half hour (8½) designated holiday worked. However, if a Patrol covered member working the Modified 4-2 schedule is required to work beyond his/her eight and one-half hour (8½) shift by fifteen (15) minutes or greater, the one-half (½) hour will then be paid at premium pay (1½x) and all subsequent hours worked after the eight and one-half hour (8½) shift will be paid as required above, double time (2x) pay. For Patrol covered members working the 1600-0030 hours shift, hours compensated per this section shall be the hours that fall between 0001-2400 hours on the designated holiday. If a covered member is required to work any hours on a designated holiday which are not part of his/her regular work schedule, or which are worked as the result of a continuation of any work assignment which originated during his/her regular shift hours on the day prior to the designated holiday, the covered member shall receive double time (2x) for any such hours worked within the twenty-four (24) hour designated holiday period. For purposes of this section, hours considered on the holiday shall be any hours between 0001 and 2400 hours.
Pay for Working on Designated Holidays. If a police officer is required to work on a Holiday, the police officer shall be paid at one and one-half times their regular rate of pay for all hours worked on a designated holiday. Pay under this section shall not be eligible for compensatory time. While Easter Sunday is not a designated holiday, any officer that works on Easter Sunday where the majority of their regular shift occurs on that day shall be entitled to eight (8) hours straight time pay in addition to their regular rate of pay. Time worked on Easter Sunday shall not be subject to the one and one-half times the regular rate of pay for hours worked on a designated holiday.

An employee who is required to work on Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx.'s Birthday, Xxxxxxx's Birthday or Washington's Birthday and who meets the eligibility requirements contained herein shall receive his or her regular pay for each hour worked.
