Per Diem Holiday Pay and Holiday Meal. When an employee in the classification of Staff Nurse-Per Diem (VWWA) or Staff Advice Nurse–Per Diem (VWXF) works on a holiday set forth in Section 12.1.A, above, the employee is entitled CNA - 34 - 2018-2021 to receive overtime pay at the rate of one and one half (1.5) times his/her base rate of pay (not including differentials) for all hours worked, up to a maximum of eight (8) hours. Employee in per diem classifications who work at the County Hospital and who are required to work on Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day will be given a meal in the Hospital Cafeteria at no cost to the employee only between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. No other provisions of this Section 12 apply to employees in per diem classifications.

  • HOLIDAYS AND HOLIDAY PAY 131. A holiday is calculated based on an eight hour day. The following days are designated as holidays:

  • Paid Holiday Pay Payment for holidays will be made at an employee’s basic pay, except if an employee has been working in a higher paid position than her regular position for a majority of the sixty (60) working days preceding her holiday, in which case she shall receive the higher pay.

  • Paid Holiday Bank Employees qualify in accordance with the collective agreement. The paid holidays are identified in the Collective Agreement. Credit to the paid holiday bank will occur on the date of the holiday. Drawing from the paid holiday bank will occur at an accelerated rate of 1.25 hours paid for every hour taken (i.e. 11.25 hours worked equals 14.05 hours paid; 7.5 hours worked equals 9.375 hours paid).

  • Holiday Pay A. On each of the holidays designated above, each full-time employee scheduled to work but permitted to take the day off shall receive pay computed at the employee's basic hourly rate for the number of hours the employee was regularly scheduled to work.

  • Public Holiday 6.1 The Worker shall be entitled to public holidays in accordance with the labour laws in Malaysia.
