Personal Counseling. Full on-site personal counseling is offered at the Main and South Campuses. A licensed professional counselor, licensed professional counselor-intern, and social worker intern have office hours and see students by appointment. Students requesting personal counseling services are seen on a first-come, first-served basis on the Main Campus. Students also have access to the resources of personal counseling. The personal counseling services webpage contains many links to connect students to information and resources for mental health. All GC students have access to short-term personal counseling. The staff on the main campus offers personal counseling through telemental health or by appointment as needed at their location. Distance education students have access to services through telemental health or by appointment and referral to local resources as needed.

Personal Counseling. Dr. Fair agrees to participate in a course of counseling with a qualified mental health professional of at least 24 sessions to address issues related to Charge II, including discussion of developing and maintaining personal relationships in a work environment and collaboration with co-workers and the use of power and authority in a Xxxxxx-like model of servant leadership. The sessions may be scheduled weekly or more or less frequently as may be recommended by Dr. Fair’s mental health professional, with the expectation that the sessions will span about six months. Dr. Fair has selected Rev. Xx. Xxxxxx X. Spidell as her mental health professional. If for any reason Xx. Xxxxxxx cannot serve as Dr. Fair’s mental health professional, a substitute mental health professional shall be selected by Dr. Fair, and Dr. Fair shall notify the COM of the substitution. The COM reserves the right to disapprove any substitute mental health professional on the basis of her/his lack of professional qualifications or experience, but shall not unreasonably withhold its approval. The specific course of Dr. Fair’s counseling shall be developed between Dr. Fair and her mental health professional and shall remain confidential between them. The mental health professional shall be provided with a copy of the charges as presently filed in the Disciplinary Case and a copy of this Agreement. The mental health professional shall provide a confidential report to the COM when at least twelve counseling sessions have been completed and at the conclusion of 24 sessions. The reports shall state whether Dr. Fair has engaged in good faith in the counseling sessions as required by this Agreement, but shall not reveal any confidential communications between the mental health professional and Dr. Fair.
Personal Counseling. The school counselor is available to assist students with a wide range of personal concerns, including such areas as social, family, emotional or mental health issues, or substance abuse. A student who wishes to meet with the school counselor should set up a meeting. As a parent, if you are concerned about your child’s mental or emotional health, please speak with the school counselor for a list of resources that may be of assistance. A student in grades 9-12, or in a lower grade when a student is enrolled in a high school credit-bearing course, will earn credit for a course only if the final grade is 70 or above. For a two-semester (1 credit) course, the student’s grades from both semesters will be averaged and credit will be awarded if the combined average is 70 or above. Should the student’s combined average be less than 70, the student will be required to retake the semester in which he or she failed.

  • DEPENDENT PERSONAL SERVICES 1. Subject to the provisions of Articles 16, 18 and 19, salaries, wages and other similar remuneration derived by a resident of a Contracting State in respect of an employment shall be taxable only in that State unless the employment is exercised in the other Contracting State. If the employment is so exercised, such remuneration as is derived therefrom may be taxed in that other State. 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph 1, remuneration derived by a resident of a Contracting State in respect of an employment exercised in the other Contracting State shall be taxable only in the first-mentioned State if: a) the recipient is present in the other State for a period or periods not exceeding in the aggregate 183 days in any twelve-month period commencing or ending in the tax year concerned, and b) the remuneration is paid by, or on behalf of, an employer who is not a resident of the other State, and c) the remuneration is not borne by a permanent establishment or a fixed base which the employer has in the other State. 3. Notwithstanding the preceding provisions of this Article, remuneration derived in respect of an employment exercised aboard a ship or aircraft operated in international traffic by a resident of a Contracting State, may be taxed in that State.

  • Counselors A. Newly ordered file cabinets for Counselors will have locks. No Counselors shall be held accountable, unless through their own negligence, for the loss of school records unless there is a secure place for storage. B. Counselors, although generally working the same overall hours as teachers, shall be allowed to use flexible hours if it improves their service to pupils. C. The duty of maintaining school attendance records and of coordinating school transportation services shall not be assigned to Counselors. D. Counselors shall not be required, except in an emergency, to handle homeroom assignments, schedule or score large-scale tests, prepare school master schedules, complete entries and withdrawals and schedule conferences between classroom teachers and parents. E. Every effort will be made, in accordance with the BCPSS Master Plan adopted and updated by the Board, to provide school counselors with access to computers, telephones, private consultation space and clerical services. F. The Board will make every effort to reduce the case-load of Counselors. In furtherance of this objective, a committee shall be established consisting of three (3) members selected by the Union and three (3) members selected by the Board to review the current status of the effort. G. The Board and the Union will form a committee with three (3) members appointed by each to review the utilization and effectiveness of school counseling services and make recommendations to improve services to students. One additional task of the committee shall be to develop a counselor evaluation instrument. H. Substitutes shall be hired for counselors out for long-term illness. I. Counselors shall have access to clerical services. J. Formal observation of counselors shall only be done by the Office of guidance Services personnel, holding National Counselor Certification (NCC) credential and/or a Maryland Professional Counselor’s License.

  • Personal/Carer’s Leave 18.1 Entitlement to paid personal/carer’s leave a) Paid personal leave will be available to an Employee (other than casual Employees) when they are absent due to: (i) personal illness or injury (sick leave); or (ii) for the purposes of caring for an immediate family or household member who is sick and requires the Employee's care and support (carer's leave). b) The amount of personal leave to which an Employee is entitled is as follows: (i) Upon commencement of employment Employees will automatically be credited with 5 days Personal and/or Xxxxx’s leave. After 6 months of employment, the leave will begin to accrue progressively up until it reaches 10 days at the conclusion of 12 months employment. (ii) Once the Employee has completed one year of continuous employment, the Employee shall be credited with a further ten days personal leave entitlement at the beginning of the Employee's second and subsequent year, which subject to clause 18.1(f) hereof, shall commence on the anniversary of engagement. c) In any year unused personal leave accrues. d) An Employee will inform the Company of the Employee's inability to attend for duty, and need to take personal leave, as soon as practicable. e) An Employee shall prove to the Company's satisfaction that the Employee’s Personal/Xxxxx’s leave is/was justified. Such evidence may be a medical practitioner’s certificate, or a statutory declaration. An Employee will not be required to provide such evidence for single days of absence but only where two or more consecutive days of absence are taken. f) If an Employee’s employment is terminated by the Company and is re-engaged within a period of six months, then the Employee's unclaimed balance of sick leave shall continue from the date of re-engagement. In such case the Employee's next year of service will commence after a total of twelve months has been served with that Company excluding the period of interruption in service from the date of commencement of the previous period of employment or the anniversary of the commencement of the previous period of employment, as the case may be. g) Unpaid carer’s leave will be in accordance with the NES. 18.2 Immediate family or household a) The entitlement to use personal leave for the purpose of carer's or compassionate leave is subject to the person being either: (i) a member of the Employee's immediate family; or (ii) a member of the Employees' household. b) The term immediate family includes: (i) a spouse, de facto partner, child, parent, grandparent, grandchild or sibling of the Employee; or (ii) a child, parent, grandparent, grandchild or sibling of a spouse or de facto partner of the Employee.
