Personal Needs. A leave of absence for personal reasons may be requested and approved for a period not to exceed one year.

Personal Needs. 1. Paraprofessionals working in years one through three (1-3) of their Shore employment will be granted one (1) personal day for the school year session. Personal days may be used for personal business, emergencies or other personal matters that cannot be scheduled outside of the school day. c. Personal days shall be requested through the on-line system, to the Educational Coordinator at least five (5) days prior to the requested date.
d. Under extenuating circumstances, the five (5) day period may be waived but at least twenty- four (24) hours’ notice must be provided, except in dire emergencies. Waivers and approvals are at the discretion of the administration.
