Personal Time Off, Sick and Emergency Leave. Jury and Court Leave, Funeral Leave, and Central Sick Leave Each teacher shall be credited with four (4) Personal Time Off (PTO) and nine (9) Sick and Emergency Leave days per year. After the commencement of the school year a teacher may draw on his/her days for the balance of the school year.

  • Personal Emergency Leave 1. A teacher will be granted up to five (5) days of leave per year to cover situations beyond the control of the teacher which would significantly impair teaching service. Personal emergency leave may not be used for illness/injury, or illness/injury in the immediate family. Deductions from the gross pay of a teacher for this leave shall be made at the degreed substitute rate of pay for each day taken.

  • Emergency Leave The Commissioner of Minnesota Management & Budget, after consultation with the Commissioner of Public Safety, may excuse State employees from duty with full pay in the event of a natural or man made emergency, if continued operation would involve a threat to the health or safety of individuals. Absence with pay shall not exceed sixteen (16) working hours at any one time unless the Commissioner of Minnesota Management & Budget authorizes a longer duration.

  • Unused Personal Leave Since a number for the available personal leave days has been established, a basic discussion will need to be had regarding unused personal leave days. Naturally, these differ from vacation days since the Employer will not always be required to pay the Employee when personal leave is taken. If a dollar amount will be attached to each personal leave day that is unused so that it can be paid to that Employee then, select the first checkbox presented in the list of options provided and record the dollar amount that shall be paid for one unused personal day.   • Personal Medical Leave 1. Accrued 100% sick leave may be used at the employee's discretion. Such leave may be taken before or after the vacation described in No. 3 below.
