Jury and Court Leave. Each full-time employee shall be excused from his/her regularly assigned duties for jury duty, or the attendance at any court pursuant to a subpoena in a work connected or criminal case, provided he/she is a non-party witness or a party defendant with the District. He/she shall be paid the difference between his/her regular rate and such amount as he/she may receive as juror or witness fees.

A) He/she did not initiate the action which caused the subpoena
B) He/she is not a party to the action
C) Such action is outside of the administrator's responsibility as a school administrator. During such absence he/she shall be paid his/her regular salary and any reimbursement he/she receives for his/her appearances in court or in response to such subpoenas shall be assigned by the administrator for payment to the Avondale School District.

Jury and Court Leave. (a) An employee subpoenaed as a Crown witness for court or for jury duty during scheduled work time shall be paid their normal wages as if they worked for the time spent in Court, for all purposes. If the jury leave is at a time when she is not scheduled to work, the employee will bank this amount of time at regular rates for taking off at a time mutually agreed with the Company. Administrators shall be excused with pay for jury duty or if the administrator is subpoenaed to attend any judicial or quasi-judicial proceeding as a witness, provided, however, this provision shall not apply in the event the judicial or quasi-judicial proceeding involves a labor dispute with the ASSOCIATION or any member of the ASSOCIATION. The administrator shall reimburse the district an amount of money equivalent to the pay received for jury duty.
Jury and Court Leave. An Administrator who is called to jury duty or attendance at any administrative proceeding pursuant to subpoena, except a proceeding wherein the Administrator and/or the Association is opposing the District, shall receive the difference between his/her regular salary and the jury or other court witness fees with no loss of accumulative leave.
