A) Job Posting When a vacancy occurs the Employer shall notify the Union and post notice of the position on the District website for a minimum of five (5) working days in order that all regular employees will know about the position and be able to make written or electronic application therefor. Such notice shall contain the following information: location of work site (where identified), nature of position, required knowledge and education, ability and skills, shift and wage and salary rate or range. No advertisement for additional employees shall be made until after such posting has been completed. By agreement with the Union this requirement may be waived for an individual posting. This agreement will not be unreasonably withheld. If a position is to have an increase in regular hours to become full time then the Employer must post the position.

(a) Job Posting
(i) When a vacancy occurs the Employer shall notify the Union by electronic mail and post notice of the position electronically and in the Employer's office, shops and on all Union designated bulletin boards for a minimum of five (5) working days in order that all regular employees will know about the position and be able to make written application therefor. Such notice shall contain the following information: nature of position, required knowledge and education, ability and skills, shift and wage and salary rate or range.
(ii) No advertisement for additional employees shall be made until after such posting has been completed. By agreement with the Union this requirement may be waived for an individual posting. If other jobs or skills are added to a job posting then this will be done with union consultation.
(iii) If a position is to have an increase in temporary hours to become full-time, then the Employer is not required to post the position, however if these temporary hours are determined to be ongoing hours for the subsequent school year, they will be posted and filled in the usual manner prior to the last Friday in June. If a position is to have an ongoing increase in posted hours to become full-time, then the Employer must post the position (unless the position was previously reduced from full-time and the incumbent declined to exercise their right to bump).

13.01 Job Postings and Vacancies When a vacancy occurs or a new position is created, the Employer shall notify the Union in writing and post notice of the position on all bulletin boards and electronically for a minimum of four (4) working days so that all members will know about a vacancy or new position. Variations to the time period for postings can be changed by mutual agreement. Vacancies, if they are to be filled, or new positions must be posted within ten

Copies of the posting will be emailed to laid off and temporary employees who are not at work and therefore unable to see the posting.
