Prior Sick Leave Account. Effective 1/1/96 each employee's sick bank, vacation bank, and personal leave bank were converted to paid time off. Any employee whose total accumulations were greater than 280 hours had the remaining hours set aside in a bank called prior sick leave account (PSLA) to be used for future unscheduled time off and paid time off donations. A similar conversion will occur for any employee who transfers into the bargaining unit if their total accumulations exceed 280 hours. Employees who terminate their employment with the Employer shall receive any unused paid time off only in wages. The accumulations held in the PSLA shall not be paid off, unless the employee retires from the Employer or upon the employee's death, to his/her beneficiary, at the rate of one-half (1/2) his/her current annual pay up to a maximum payment equivalent of eighty (80) work days' pay.

  • Sick Leave Accrual Full-time employees will accrue eight (8) hours of sick leave in a calendar month. Part- time employees will accrue sick leave credit on the same proportional basis that their employment schedule bears to a full-time schedule, up to a maximum of eight (8) hours in a calendar month.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Sick Leave Pool a. The Sick Leave Pool is intended to provide security to supplement other insurance benefits by allowing employees to "buy" insurance for extended illness, or other disability. Pool Days may be used to "make an employee whole" if disability or Workers' Compensation benefits are less than normal base pay. When "buying" Pool Days, employees convert Earned Time days on a 1:3 basis. Similar to purchasing insurance, the employee may pick a given number of days to exchange for coverage in case of extended disability.

  • Sick Leave Exhausted (a) After earned sick leave has been exhausted, the Agency shall grant sick leave without pay for any job-incurred injury or illness for a period which shall terminate upon demand by the employee for reinstatement accompanied by a certificate issued by the duly licensed attending physician that the employee is physically and/or mentally able to perform the duties of the position.

  • Accumulated Sick Leave ‌ The Employer shall inform all employees at least once each year of the number of sick days accumulated and shall make the information available to an employee on request.

  • Sick Leave Payout No cash payment for unused sick leave will be paid to any employee leaving the service of the Employer.

  • Sick Leave Payoff Employee with accrued, unused sick leave may, at the time of separation, select one of the following options for reimbursement:

  • Sick Leave Accumulation a. All unused days of sick leave at full pay for all employees, shall accumulate to a maximum of two hundred ten (210) days. Such sick leave benefits so accrued will be usable after the annual full days allowed, and prior to any half pay benefits.

  • Sick Leave Pay A Nurse granted sick leave shall be paid for the period of such leave at her or his regular hourly rate of pay and the number of hours thus paid shall be deducted from the accumulated sick leave credits of the Nurse.
