Personal Leave Bank. Employees may elect to bank up to two (2) personal leave days to carry over into the next school year. Accumulation of personal leave is limited to five (5) days total (6 for those who qualify for incentive leave.) Applications will be accepted between the first and last work days in March. Requests will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, up to a limit of one hundred fifty (150) employees each year. Employees who wish to bank personal leave must fill out the district application form each year. Banked days may not be cashed out or converted. Provisional employees shall not be allowed to bank personal leave. Personal Leave Bank a. A personal leave bank will be maintained. Each member of the bargaining unit may voluntarily donate a maximum of one (1) unused personal leave day per school year to the Personal Leave Bank which enrolls them as a member of the bank. b. The Board will keep track of accumulated days and provide a list of eligible leave participants to the OAPSE President at the beginning of each school year.

Medical verification will be required. Participation is on a voluntary basis. 6.7.1 To participate in the Personal Leave Bank unit members will have thirty (30) calendar days from their date of employment or open enrollment to join and contribute one (1) personal leave day. Days contributed to the bank will not be returned to the employee. New unit members with more than ten (10) days of transferable sick/personal leave days from another district may donate one (1) day of personal leave within the first thirty (30) calendar days of employment. Only unit members who contribute to the Personal Leave Bank may withdraw from the bank. Days contributed to the Personal Leave Bank do not count against the Personal Leave Bonus, Article 5.6. 6.7.2 New unit members with ten (10) or fewer transferable sick/personal leave days shall be automatically enrolled in the Personal Leave Bank for the first year of employment only without contributing any personal leave. 6.7.3 A Personal Leave Bank committee will review and either approve or deny all requests. The committee will consist of one (1) administrator and two (2) unit members. 6.7.4 Individual member withdrawals from the Personal Leave Bank will be limited to twelve (12) days per year. Newly hired employees have thirty (30) calendar days to donate one (1) personal day which enables their membership in the Personal Leave Bank. All employees shall furnish a written, signed statement on the form contained in Appendix 11, which shall be completed and submitted to the Treasurer, when seeking leave pursuant to this section. 2. The donations to the Personal Leave Bank shall not be counted as a day of absence for attendance incentive pay. 3. The maximum number of days in the bank shall not exceed the number of members in the bargaining unit.
Personal Leave Bank. The Administrator is provided a Personal Leave Bank of 90 days upon Board approval, this bank of days is afforded to an Administrator only one time during their employment with the district. It is the Administrators responsibility to maintain their Personal Leave Bank at 90 days whenever possible. There are no additional days added to this bank without formal approval of the Board of Education. There is no compensation or payout for unused Leave Bank time under any circumstances. Should an Administrator exhaust their annual leave day allotment they may draw upon their Personal Leave Bank (see below) for additional paid time. As of June 30th each year, any remaining leave days from their annual allotment must be transferred to their Personal Leave Bank to bring its balance to 90 days if needed.
Personal Leave Bank. An employee may receive donated leave from another City Employee, provided the receiving employee is seriously ill or injured, or has an immediate family member who is seriously ill or injured, or is attending to a death in their immediate family, or is eligible for Family and Medical Leave (FML) or Alaska Family Leave (AFL) under State or Federal laws, or is under the care of a physician and has exhausted all their personal leave. Personal leave which is being donated under this Section shall be donated at the donating employee's current rate of pay and converted into hours at the receiving employee's rate of pay and added to the receiving employee’s personal leave bank. The donated personal leave shall be subject to all taxation and contributions required of all payroll compensation and shall be borne by the employee to whom the personal leave is being donated. Any unused donated leave will remain with the recipient.

Personal Leave Bank. (Refer to Appendix C for the Parking Clerk) 29.1 Following one complete year of employment and based on the fiscal year, each full- time employee who has a minimum of 48 hours of accumulated sick leave and does not use more than sixty-four (64) hours of sick leave per fiscal year will accumulate twenty- four (24) hours in a “Personal Leave Bank”. 29.2 For part-time employees the Personal Leave requirements and accumulation will be prorated based on the hours worked. 29.3 Where circumstances warrant, the Employer may, at its discretion (fair and reasonable), grant the above additional twenty-four (24) hours. Such requests will be made by the employee to their supervisor within 30 days of the end of the fiscal year.” 29.4 The “Personal Leave Bank” shall accumulate up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) days of work or two hundred (200) hours of work. 29.5 This Personal Leave Bank will accumulate from year to year and will be kept by Human Resources.
Personal Leave Bank. A member of the bargaining unit that does not use all his/her personal leave days in a school year may bank two (2) days of personal leave for the following year. Personal leave cannot accumulate beyond four (4) five (5) days in any year. The employee must notify the Unit office by the last day of school as to whether the unused personal day should be credited to the personal leave days or sick leave days in the new school year. If the employee does not notify the Unit office by the last day of school, the days will automatically be credited to sick leave.
