Probationary Associates. 10.01 The parties agree with reference to probationary associates, that:

Probationary Associates. All new associates of the Company shall be considered probationary associates until they have completed 90 calendar days of service with the Company. Any day of absence during the probationary period shall extend the probationary period one calendar day. The Company, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Agreement, shall have the right to employ no more than six (6) Temporary Probationary associates to fill a temporary opening created by a recognized leave of absence of a regular associate as provided for in Article VIII, Sections 3.1, 4.1, 5.1, and/or 8.1 that exceed thirty (30) calendar days. Prior to any Temporary Probationary associate being employed the Company shall notify the Unit President in writing of the name of the associate on leave, the position to be filled, department, shift and expected duration a Temporary Probationary Associate will be employed. No Temporary Probationary Associate will be allowed to work when any bargaining unit associates in their department is not scheduled to a normal work week as defined in Article IV, Section 2.3. A Temporary Probationary associate will be employed for a term no longer than 180 calendar days from the first day employed. After 180 calendar days, the Temporary Probationary associate will be terminated or will be hired as a new regular associate under this Agreement. In the event a Temporary Probationary Associate is hired as a regular associate their seniority date shall be the first day of employment. All provisions of this Agreement that apply to Probationary Associates also shall apply to Temporary Probationary Associates.
Probationary Associates. Associates upon having been employed by the Fort Erie, Ontario distribution center, GNB Industrial Power, shall be considered by both the Union and the Company to be probationary associates for a trial period of sixty (60) working days. It is understood and agreed by both contractual parties that associates discharged during this period, if proven unsatisfactory to management, shall have no recourse to the Union with regard to their loss of all associate rights. When an associate completes his probationary period of sixty (60) working days with the Company, he or she shall be eligible for full coverage under this Union contract and receive all benefits due an associate as the word "associate" is defined in the foregoing section of this Agreement. It is agreed that the probation period may be extended at the Company's request by an additional thirty (30) working days plus an additional sixty (60) working days in 30 day increments; subject to the Union's agreement. Such agreement shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Contractor Employee Conduct The Contractor’s employees shall adhere to the standards of conduct prescribed in the Customer’s personnel policy and procedure guidelines, particularly rules of conduct, security procedures, and any other applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the Customer. The Contractor shall ensure that the Contractor’s employees wear attire suitable for the position, either a standard uniform or business casual dress.

  • Probationary Period A new employee will be considered on probation until he has completed forty-five (45) days of work (or 337.5 hours of work for employees whose regular hours of work are other than the standard work day), within any twelve (12) calendar months. Upon completion of the probationary period he shall be credited with seniority equal to forty-five (45) working days. With the written consent of the Hospital, the probationary employee and the President of the Local Union or designate, such probationary period may be extended. Any extensions agreed to will be in writing and will specify the length of the extension. The release or discharge of an employee during the probationary period shall not be the subject of a grievance or arbitration.

  • Transportation for Employees Transportation will be provided to employees who are required to work other than their normal working hours, and who must travel to or from their home during the hours between 11:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. and when convenient public transportation or other transportation facilities are not available. An employee shall be reimbursed for the cost of commercial transportation within their headquarters area, upon presentation of receipts.

  • Probationary An employee who is employed to fill a full or part-time position for a trial period of sixty (60) working days.
