Public Outreach Activities. Arrange for presentations to civic leaders or community groups o Board of Health, County/City or Town Board, School Board, PTA/O, Crime Prevention Committee o District Attorney, local government officials, legislators o Law Enforcement Agencies • Share customizable WI Wins one-pager with local public leaders and legislators • Send letters or emails to local public leaders about retailers and clerks who succeed in making a difference in their community. Encourage them to call, send a note or pay a visit to the stores thanking the owners/clerks • Work with a local youth group to send thank you cards to local clerks and retailers who obey the law • Actively involve coalition members in promoting WI Wins and/or XXXxxxxxxXxxxx.xxx o Have volunteers canvas local retailers with WI Wins leave behinds (XXXxxxxxxXxxxx.xxx promotional card and ID reference card, OTP or e-cigarette information sheet, etc.) • Send direct mail to retailers o Must contain program information about WI Wins and/or XXXxxxxxxXxxxx.xxx o Must include specific community or county compliance check information (e.g. rates) o Can include information about OTPs/e-cigarettes and the importance of checking IDs All WI Wins outreach should have a positive focus. Public Outreach Activities. Sample Provision 1: “The Parties recognize and agree that public participation during the injury assessment and restoration planning process is both desirable and necessary. The Parties further recognize that the Trustees are directed by law to give public notice and to solicit public review and comment during certain phases of the injury assessment and restoration planning process. The Trustees will undertake public outreach and will provide public notice and solicit public review and comment on the documents the Trustees deem appropriate.” (Source: Buffalo River Agreement)
Public Outreach Activities. The ENGINEER shall do the following:  Electronic files of correspondence shall be sent to the State along with an electronic file containing the names of elected officials from which a mail merge and mailing labels can be created.  Prepare media releases (in both English and Spanish) and forward to the STATE for review and subsequent distribution. Media releases shall announce public meetings and provide news about project progress. (up to 6 times)  Mailouts and advertisement for various meetings, (i.e. Stakeholders, Agency Working Group, Workshops, Community and Public.) (up to 12 times)  Produce newsletters (English and Spanish) at various milestones throughout the study to be designated by the STATE. Newsletters shall be sent electronically to all members of the database, and an appropriate number of paper copies shall be provided to State members for their personal distribution. The Engineer shall write printed materials, submit to the STATE for approval, make changes, coordinate production and arrange for mailing copies to names listed on the database. A .pdf version of each newsletter in a size no bigger than 1 MG will also be provided to the STATE for email "blasts". (up to 14 newsletter editions)  Create PowerPoint presentations for use at small group meetings or for discussions with elected officials. A script which explains the study and its status may also be developed for similar use. (up to 8 times)  Create “Meetings in a Box” to be updated after each (quarter or after each public meeting) to be used by the State for meeting requests. (up to 8 times)  Public and Elected Official Interviews: Interviews shall be conducted early as part of the stakeholder meetings in the process to build rapport, learn individual perspectives and bring out possible solutions or ideas for the corridor. The results of these interviews shall be used to develop solutions for the public concerns.  Web Site Material – The ENGINEER shall develop web site material that provides project information for publication on the Department web page to include general project information for Project page and also for Public Involvement page. (up to 8 times)  The Engineer shall provide periodic status reports on public involvement activities as appropriate once every two months. The ENGINEER shall provide Spanish translation services as necessary including translation of newsletters and presentation materials.

  • Outreach Activities a. The Agency shall conduct outreach activities for potential Clients to promote the availability of services. b. Outreach activities shall include, but are not limited to, participation in health fairs, community events, collaboration with other providers, and the posting of flyers for potential Clients. c. The Agency shall have an outreach plan and shall provide evidence of such arrangements to the Recipient upon request.

  • Public Outreach The Sponsor is responsible for development and administration of a public outreach effort to ensure public awareness and involvement in the Project development and delivery process. The Sponsor shall provide a copy of the public outreach plan and all materials documenting the public outreach activities, including public notices, press releases, flyers, etc. to the Authority. The public outreach plan must accompany the first invoice for payment from Sponsor. The materials documenting the public outreach activities must accompany the final invoice for payment from Sponsor.

  • EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 1. In this Agreement, extra-curricular programs and activities include all those that are beyond the provincially prescribed and locally determined curricula of the school district. 2. The Board and the Association consider it desirable that teachers participate in extra-curricular activities, and recognize that participation in extra-curricular activities by the individual teacher is on a voluntary basis.

  • Religious Activities The Subrecipient agrees that funds provided under this Agreement will not be utilized for inherently religious activities prohibited by 24 CFR 570.200(j), such as worship, religious instruction, or proselytization.

  • Commercial Activities Neither Contractor nor its employees shall establish any commercial activity or issue concessions or permits of any kind to Third Parties for establishing commercial activities on the Site or any other lands owned or controlled by Owner.

  • High Risk Activities 1. The Software is not fault-tolerant and is not designed, manufactured or intended for use or resale as on-line control equipment in hazardous environments requiring fail-safe performance, such as in the operation of nuclear facilities, aircraft navigation or communication systems, air traffic control, direct life support machines, or weapons systems, in which the failure of the Software could lead directly to death, personal injury, or severe physical or environmental damage ("High Risk Activities"). Syncro and its suppliers specifically disclaim any express or implied warranty of fitness for High Risk Activities.

  • Other Activities/Renovations A. The Contractor acknowledges its responsibility to assure the Judicial Council’s quiet enjoyment of the Program and to provide the full service level of the Property for the Program, free from outside distractions, disturbances, and/or interruptions. The Contractor shall avoid assigning any rooms to the Judicial Council or the Attendees during the Program which are adjacent to or across from any group or activity that may generate noise or other distractions, such as construction or other conduct, sufficient to detract from quiet enjoyment of the Program on the Property. B. Additionally, the Contractor shall notify the Judicial Council of any actual or contemplated renovations or other construction that will or may occur on or adjacent to the Property during the Program, no later than fourteen (14) Days from the time the Contractor learns of such renovation or construction activity. C. For any disturbance, renovation, or construction activity that is potentially or actually inconvenient or disruptive to the Program, upon the Judicial Council’s request, the Contractor shall: i. Immediately cause such disturbance to cease, if possible, or suspend or minimize construction or renovation on the Property, if necessary, in order to maintain a proper environment for the Program; and/or ii. Immediately provide equivalent alternate space on the Property, satisfactory to the Program Manager, conducive to conducting the Program in a proper environment. D. If the Contractor is unable to comply with the conditions set forth in this provision, the Judicial Council may terminate the Agreement pursuant to the termination for cause provision set forth herein.

  • Activities Except with the prior written consent of the Board, Executive will not during his employment with the Company undertake or engage in any other employment, occupation or business enterprise, other than ones in which Executive is a passive investor. Executive may engage in civic and not-for-profit activities so long as such activities do not materially interfere with the performance of his duties hereunder.
