Rate of Pay and Allowances. 14.1 The wage rates and allowances that are paid under this Agreement shall be in substitution for any wage and allowance entitlements of the National Building Construction Industry Award 2000. 14.2 The hourly rates of pay set out in Appendix A of the Agreement incorporate the payment of overtime and accordingly the weekly pay will be determined by multiplying the actual ordinary hours worked by the rate in Column 5 of Appendix A. The hourly rate is based on 38 ordinary hours per week. 14.3 All time worked in excess of the ordinary hours of work as per clause 9 shall be paid at the rate of 1.55 for each hour worked in excess of 38 hours. 14.4 Employees are not permitted to work overtime without the prior approval of the employer.

Trainees are employees undertaking a formal Civil Operations Traineeship.
