Requirements of Care Provision. The Xxxxxx Carer(s) must comply with the policies, procedures and guidance of Essex County Council and work with social workers and other professionals involved in the child(ren)’s care. The Xxxxxx Carer(s) should care for and look after any child placed in the household, as if they were a member of the Xxxxxx Carer(s) family, safeguarding them and promoting the welfare of the child(xxx) whilst having regard to any placement or care plan agreed for the child(ren), including acting within the terms of any delegated authority. This will include: Attending and contributing to all relevant meetings about the child(ren) Direct and effective liaison with other professionals e.g. health, education, EWMHS in relation to the child. Keeping records as required by Essex County Council, including records of contacts with professionals and agencies, activities and developmental progress of the child(ren), and making these available at any meeting about the child(ren). Promoting the health care needs and emotional wellbeing of the child including participation in routine health and dental checks; ensuring immunisations are up to date; and consultation with health professionals in the event of illness or injury. Promoting the education of the child(ren) placed, including: attending parent evenings; transporting the child to school (unless different arrangements are specified in the placement or care plans); encouraging the child with their homework, providing them a quiet place to study; supporting them, by attending school events such as plays, sports days and assemblies; and ensuring access to a computer (Fostering Guidance 2011 3.112). Complying with government regulations on attendance at school and permitted absences which involve not keeping a child away from school (e.g. by going on holiday or having long weekends or days out during school terms), unless there are exceptional circumstances and permission has been sought in advance and the absence agreed by the Director of Local Delivery. Saving on a weekly basis for each child placed in line with the Essex guidelines. Helping the child placed (as appropriate to the child’s age and understanding) to acquire the necessary life skills to move on to independent living (as appropriate to the child’s age and understanding). Undertaking to help the child understand and take pride in their cultural heritage, to practise their faith.   • Insurance The Company and the Subsidiaries are insured by insurers of recognized financial responsibility against such losses and risks and in such amounts as are prudent and customary in the businesses in which the Company and the Subsidiaries are engaged, including, but not limited to, directors and officers insurance coverage. Neither the Company nor any Subsidiary has any reason to believe that it will not be able to renew its existing insurance coverage as and when such coverage expires or to obtain similar coverage from similar insurers as may be necessary to continue its business without a significant increase in cost.
