Reserve Employee. An employee employed to work on an intermittent basis or during any period when additional work of any nature requires a temporarily augmented work force or in the event of an emergency or employee absenteeism. Reserve employees shall include employees scheduled on an on call basis. Reserve employees shall be paid in accordance with the wage rates set forth in (Appendices A and B) of this Agreement plus a differential as follows: Effective July 1, 2016: a five (5) percent wage differential Effective July 1, 2017: a ten (10) percent wage differential Effective July 1, 2018: a fifteen (15) percent wage differential Reserve employees shall be eligible for standby pay, callback pay, shift differentials and longevity steps. Reserve employees are not eligible for medical and dental insurance, but may participate in the retirement plan, subject to the terms of the plan. A full-time or part-time employee who changes to reserve status shall retain seniority and benefits pending return to regular status. Seniority shall not apply while on reserve status. After return to full-time or part-time status, previously accrued seniority and benefit accruals shall be reinstated for wage and benefit eligibility purposes. Reserve employees may be pre-scheduled for a shift.

  • Term Employee Term employee means a new person employed without seniority for a specific time period or until the completion of a particular project in compliance with funding provided for that position or project. At the expiry of said term the employment of such employee shall be terminated unless the term employee is immediately hired as a full-time or part-time employee at which time the term employee's original starting date shall be utilized to establish their seniority.

  • Regular Part-Time Employee A regular part-time employee is an employee hired to fill a posted part-time position and is regularly pre-scheduled to work.

  • Regular Employee Seniority for a regular employee is defined as the length of the employee’s continuous employment (whether full-time or part-time) from the date of commencement of regular employment, plus any seniority accrued, while working as a casual employee of the Employer.
