Rest & Lunch Breaks. ‌ 8.8.1. An employee shall be permitted, during the course of their shift, to take two (2) fifteen (15) minute rest breaks. All such breaks to be taken as time permits. 8.8.2. An employee shall be entitled to a thirty (30) minute paid lunch break during the approximate midpoint of their shift, except in the case the alternate 12-hour schedule is in effect then employees shall be permitted, during the course of their shift, two (2) thirty (30) minute lunch breaks, all such breaks to be taken as time permits.

Rest & Lunch Breaks. ‌ 7.6.1. An employee will be granted an Employer paid rest break for each four (4) hours of continuous compensated time. An employee, during the approximate midpoint of his or her shift, shall be permitted to take a one-half (1/2) hour unpaid lunch break. 7.6.2. An employee required to work through his or her regular lunch period will be given time to eat at a time agreed upon by the employee and supervisor. In the event the District requires an employee to forgo a lunch period and the employee works the entire shift, including the lunch period, the employee shall be compensated for the foregone lunch period at his or her applicable hourly rate of pay.‌

Rest & Lunch Breaks. 6.6.1. An employee shall be permitted an Employer paid fifteen (15) minute rest break for each four (4) hour work period. Rest breaks shall be scheduled as near as possible to the midpoint of each four (4) hour work period. An additional fifteen (15) minute rest period shall be granted for each additional two (2) hour increment that an employee is required to work beyond the employee's normal shift. 6.6.2. An employee, during the approximate midpoint of his/her shift, shall be entitled to either a one half (1/2) hour or one (1) hour non-paid lunch break, as determined by the Employer, depending upon the individual's work assignment. If such employee is directed to perform work during a portion of such break or if the employee is required by the Employer to remain on duty on the premises or at a prescribed work site in the interest of the Employer, such portion shall be subject to being deemed compensable paid time and the employee shall be compensated at the employee's applicable rate of pay.

  • Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. and l:00 p.m., otherwise he shall be paid double time for working through said lunch period.

  • Lunch Break Each Teacher shall receive each day an uninterrupted and continuous period of not less than forty (40) minutes for lunch, free from supervisory, teaching or other assigned duties (reference: Regulation 298.s. 3, Daily Sessions).

Such period will be unpaid. 36.2 Where, because of the area or location of a project, the majority of on-site employees on the project request, and agreement is reached, the period of the meal break may be lengthened to not more than forty-five (45) minutes with a consequential adjustment to the daily time of cessation of work. Working during meal break 36.3 If the employer requires an employee to work through the employee’s normal meal break the employee will be paid at the rate of double time until the employee is allowed to take such break. 36.4 Where the meal break is shortened by agreement, the employer will pay for the period by which the meal break is shortened, which will then form part of ordinary time hours. Daily rest breaks 36.5 There will be allowed, without deduction of pay, a rest period of ten (10) minutes, between 9.00am and 11.00am. The times provides in clauses 36.1 and 36.5 are indicative only and subject to the reasonable operational requirements of the employer.

  • Coffee Breaks The Company will provide two (2) fifteen (15) minute coffee breaks during each work day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.

Employees who take payment in lieu of stopping work for this break will be regarded as having worked a further 20 minutes and shall be paid at overtime rates. 40.3 An Employee working overtime on a Saturday, Sunday or Public Holiday shall be allowed a 30-minute combined Rest Period/Meal/Crib Break after four hours work, such time to be paid at double ordinary time rates, with a further 20 minute Crib break to be paid at double ordinary time rates if the overtime continues past 8 hours worked. 40.4 In the case of overtime work being cancelled by the Employer at the end of the 4-hour minimum or any time thereafter, Employees will, in addition to the payments as prescribed, be paid for the 30 minutes combined Crib/Meal/Rest Period if not already taken. 40.5 If work proceeds beyond the 4 hours minimum then Employees will be paid for all time so worked.

  • H3 Break The Authority shall have the right to terminate the Contract at any time by giving three (3) Months’ written notice to the Contractor. The Authority may extend the period of notice at any time before it expires, subject to agreement on the level of Services to be provided by the Contractor during the period of extension.

  • Tea Breaks (a) Every employee will be entitled to a paid 10 minute tea break in each four hours worked at a time to be agreed between the employee and employer. (b) Subject to agreement between the employer and employee, such breaks may alternatively be taken as one 20 minute tea break. (c) Xxx breaks will count as time worked.
