Salary Upon Reclassification Clause Samples
The "Salary Upon Reclassification" clause defines how an employee's salary will be adjusted if their job classification changes within an organization. Typically, this clause outlines whether the employee's pay will increase, decrease, or remain the same based on the new role's responsibilities and pay grade. For example, if an employee is promoted or demoted, the clause specifies the corresponding salary adjustment. Salary Upon Reclassification. The salary of the reclassified employee shall be as defined in Article 13. This provision does not apply to the classification of the Associate Educator.
Salary Upon Reclassification. Whenever the Agency grants an employee status in a higher paying classification, as a result of the reclassification of a position, the employee shall receive the step determined in accordance with this Article.

Same Salary Whenever a position is reclassified to a class which is allocated to the same salary scale, the incumbent shall retain the same salary step received prior to the reclassification if the incumbent is appointed to fill the position in accordance with Civil Service Rules.
Salary Upon Reclassification. A regular employee who is reclassified will receive the salary set forth below.
(A) If reclassified to a classification with the same salary range, the salary will not change.
(B) If reclassified to a classification with a higher salary range, the employee will be placed at the lowest step of the new range that results in not less than a five percent increase above the employee’s current regular salary. Upon recommendation of the department head and approval of the City Manager, the employee may be placed at the next higher step.
(C) If reclassified to a classification with a lower salary range, the employee will be placed within the salary range of the classification to which reclassified, at the step which is lower and closest to the salary the employee was receiving before the reclassification, unless the City Manager approves a y-rate.
Salary Upon Reclassification. Higher Salary Scale Temporary 5% premium for employees after the Civil Service Commission has approved a reclassification to a classification with a higher salary scale. The premium expires on the date of Board of Supervisors adopts the salary recommendation.
Salary Upon Reclassification. New Job Classification Temporary 5% premium for employees after the Human Resources Director recommends they be reclassified to a new classification. The premium expires when the Civil Service Commission or governing body implements or denies the new classification.

Salary Upon Reclassification. The salary of an incumbent regular or probationary employee in a position, which is reclassified, shall be determined as follows, if the incumbent remains in the position that is reclassified:
A. If the position is reclassified to a class with the same salary range, the salary and the merit increase eligibility date of the employee shall not change.
B. If the position is reclassified to a class with a higher salary range, the salary of the employee shall be governed by the provisions of Subsection 5.5 of this MOU.
C. If the position is reclassified to a class with a lower salary range, the salary of the employee shall be determined as follows:
1. If the salary of the employee is the same or less than the maximum of the new class, the salary and merit increase eligibility date of the employee shall not change.
2. If the salary of the employee is greater than the maximum salary of the new classification, the salary of the employee shall be designated as a Y- Rate and shall not change during continuous regular service until the maximum salary of the new classification exceeds the salary of the employee or until the period of calendar time indicated in the schedule below has elapsed, whichever is sooner. If, at the end of the calendar period indicated below, the salary of the employee still exceeds the maximum of the new salary range for the new classification, the salary of the employee shall be reduced to the maximum salary for the new class.
