Reclassification Request. An employee who believes that they are consistently performing work in a higher established classification may file a request for reclassification in accordance with AMC 3.30.027 B.
Reclassification Request. Who Can Initiate
Reclassification Request. An employee who believes that his principal duties do not correspond to his job class may submit a request for revaluation in writing to his immediate supervisor, with copy to the Human Resources department, Compensation unit and to the Union, specifying the reasons supporting his request. The Human Resources department will evaluate the position and will inform the employee, the supervisor and the Union of the results in writing, within ninety (90) working days of the request. Any reclassification resulting from the evaluation will be effective retroactively as of the date of the employee’s request. If the Human Resources department fails to answer within ninety (90) working days following the request or if the employee is unsatisfied with the evaluation results, he may submit a grievance as provided in clause 8.03, within thirty (30) working days of the failure to answer or of the receipt of the unsatisfying answer, whichever occurs first. If the job class of the position is downgraded, the employee holding the position continues to be paid according to the salary scale which applied to the position before the re-evaluation and is entitled to all of the step and salary increases as if the position had not been re-evaluated. The present applies as long as the employee remains the incumbent of the position.
Reclassification Request. 6 A request for reclassification(s) for a unit member(s) may be made by the Association; however, 7 unit members may request reclassification directly to the Human Resources Office. Such requests 8 shall be in writing. Reclassification requests shall be reviewed and completed within a reasonable 9 length of time [not to exceed eighteen (18) months in duration]. Unit member(s) working less than 10 twelve (12) months shall have their reclassification request placed on hold for the summer period.
11 13.1.1.1 A joint Reclassification Committee (committee), comprised of no more than four (4) members 12 appointed by the Association and no more than four (4) members appointed by the District, shall 13 consider all reclassification requests received. Requests will be reviewed and evaluated by the 14 committee and a recommendation will be made for the Board of Education’s consideration. Any 15 member of the committee that has a conflict of interest shall recuse his/herself from the process. An 16 alternate member from management and/or CSEA shall participate for that one review.

Reclassification Request. 24 Reclassification requests may be initiated by the Union or a member of the 25 bargaining unit who believes that the duties, responsibilities, and/or required 26 skills of the job they are performing do not accurately reflect the classification 27 to which they are assigned. The request will be forwarded to the Department 28 Head for review. The Department Head’s review and recommendation will be 29 forwarded to Human Resources within thirty (30) calendar days following 30 receipt of the request. 1 Human Resources shall send the Union notice of all requests for 2 reclassification evaluations of its members within ten (10) working days of 3 receipt of the request. 5 Human Resources will have six (6) weeks to review the request. Human 6 Resources will forward approved request to the Board of Commissioners. 7 The Board will take action on the request within two (2) weeks. 9 If the reclassification is approved, the new pay rate will be effective at the 10 start of the pay period following receipt of the request in Human Resources. 12 If a reclassification request is approved, but it is determined the position will 13 not be upgraded, the higher-level duties will be removed. The nurse will 14 receive a lump sum payment for the difference between their current salary 15 and the approved salary rate for the time period, as referenced in the 16 preceding paragraph, to the date the duties are removed. 18 If the reclassification request is denied, the nurse or the Union may appeal at 19 Step 3 of the grievance procedure.
Reclassification Request. Any employee or district administrator who believes the assigned duties and responsibilities of a job have changed sufficiently so as to justify reclassification, may submit a letter of request for job reclassification to the Human Resources Director. Such requests shall summarize the major changes that have initiated the request and must include the specific duties now assigned that were not assigned previously. In the interest of employees having access to reclassification in the most direct and timely manner, the District agrees to give notice to the Association that a request for reclassification has been received and is under consideration for administrative approval. The Association will have five (5) days in which to provide written input. After five (5) days, the application for reclassification will continue through the process stated below. Evaluation of reclassification requests by the Human Resources Director may include interviews with employees and their administrators. After this evaluation, one of the following will occur:
A. A recommendation for reclassification will be submitted to the Superintendent for their consideration. If the reclassification request is approved by the Superintendent, it shall be effective on the date of such approval.
B. The request will be submitted to the Reclassification Committee for consideration. The Reclassification Committee shall meet and review the reclassification request within one (1) month of its submission to the Reclassification Committee. The committee shall provide written findings and a recommendation to the District Superintendent and the employee as to the disposition of the reclassification request within three (3) months of its receipt.
Reclassification Request. If the Union believes that an employee is consistently performing work in a different or higher established classification the Union may request for reclassification. At the request of the Union, the parties will meet to discuss the employee’s reclassification. If agreement is not reached between the Union and Agency Head or designee, the matter shall be referred to the Director for resolution. The employee and the Union will be advised in writing on the disposition of the request. The disposition is not subject to the grievance process.

(a) Where an Employee believes that the work performed is better described by another classification, the Employee may seek to be reclassified to that classification by notifying the Employer in writing, addressing the classification criteria of both the current and proposed classification.
(b) The Employer will provide a written response to the requested reclassification within eight (8) weeks, addressing both the current and proposed classification.
(c) At any time, either the Employee or Employer may refer a request for reclassification to the Dispute Resolution Procedure clause 14 of this Agreement.
