Scientific Integrity. The USDA Department-wide scientific integrity policy is located in Departmental Regulation (DR) 1074-001. All contractors, cooperators, partners, permittees, lessees, grantees, and volunteers, who engage or assist in the activities identified in Section 3a(2)(a) through (c) on behalf of USDA, are expected to uphold the established principles of scientific integrity described in the DR. Any express requirements will be set forth in the agreement statement of work, as applicable. Research institutions that receive allegations of research misconduct involving USDA-funded extramural research should refer to Title 2 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 422.
Scientific Integrity. The goal of this Article is to empower Agency management and staff to prevent inappropriate interference in scientific work. A culture of scientific integrity supports the use of sound science in Agency decision making. This Article in conjunction with the Agency's Scientific Integrity Policy will be effective in promoting sound science, be good for morale, help with recruitment and retention, and protect staff while accomplishing the mission of the Agency. This Article covers any employee who collects, generates, uses, or evaluates scientific data, analyses, or products.
Scientific Integrity. 3.1. The Recipient shall ensure that the Awardholder (i) conducts the Research according to the highest standards of the research community and (ii) takes steps to avoid any actual or perceived conflict of interest.
3.2. The Recipient must have in place adequate formal written procedures for the handling of allegations of misconduct by the Awardholder or any Research Personnel. The Recipient shall provide copies of such procedures to PSC Support on request and shall promptly amend or revise such procedures at PSC Support’s reasonable request.
Scientific Integrity. If you use the SNSF Portal, you are required to respect the rules of good scientific practice. In particu- lar, you confirm the accuracy and completeness of all information provided when submitting an appli- cation. The SNSF reserves the right to systematically monitor compliance with good scientific practice. Users who abuse the system in any form can be excluded from further using the SNSF Portal.
Scientific Integrity. The Assignment shall be performed in compliance with recognised scientific and ethical principles. The Assignment shall be founded on the principles for academic freedom within the framework of what has been agreed as regards topics and methods in this agreement. This entails inter alia that the Commissioned Party cannot be subject to the imposition that the Assignment shall lead to a specific conclusion. The results the Assignment leads to shall in principle be made public upon handover to the Principal, see Section 5.2. The Commissioned Party shall make supporting research material available in accordance with generally accepted practice in this field.

All data collected will meet the requirements of the Geospatial Data Act of 2018 (U.S. Code, Title 43 – Public Lands, Chapter 46: GEOSPATIAL DATA) where applicable. This will always include the use of all relevant metadata standards, use of standard data formats, and a description of quantitative measures of uncertainty and sources of uncertainty associated with the data. Additionally, the data must meet any additional requirements specified within the specified agreement statement of work to ensure the data are useful to support USDA’s mission. Refer to REE-26 Organization Information, Representations, Assurances & Certifications, C. Assurances, #47. Application of the Geospatial Data Act of 2018 toward the dissemination of research related results will be in accordance with DR 1020-006. # Public Access. All investigators funded by ARS/ERS/NASS awards must publish their major findings, make data resulting from research, education, and/or extension projects publicly available according to and comply with USDA’s Public access to Scholarly Publications and Digital Scientific Research Data (Departmental Regulation 1020-006).

The Institution shall ensure that the Grantholders conduct the Project according to the highest standards of the research community and avoid any actual or perceived conflict of interest. The Institution must have in place its own published standards of good research practice and formal written procedures for the handling of allegations of research misconduct. Such standards must take into account the Medical Research Council document ‘Good research practice: principles and guidelines’.
2.2 In the event of scientific fraud occurring or being suspected in relation to the Project or the Grantholder(s), it is the responsibility of the Institution to investigate this promptly and comprehensively. The Grant is given in reliance upon the representation of the Institution that it has adequate procedures for dealing with scientific fraud.
2.3 If a case of scientific fraud is suspected in relation to the Project then Action Medical Research must be notified within 7 days of the Institution initiating any such investigation of scientific misconduct and kept informed of further developments. At the initial stages of the enquiry, the Charities would not normally suspend the Grant. However, if adequate steps are not taken to proceed with the investigation, or if fraud is proven, the Charities will terminate the Grant immediately and reserve the right to recover monies already paid under the Grant in respect of research undertaken after the fraudulent activity or misconduct occurred.

Scientific Integrity. By signing this agreement the PhD candidate declares that he/she will maintain and promote integer scientific conduct and will adhere to the rules laid down in the Netherlands Code of Conduct for Scientific Practice (xxx.xx.xx/xxxxxxxxxxxx).
