Shortened Days. ‌ The rehearsal day may be reduced to only one (1) continuous call of five (5) hours. The requirements for breaks in Clause 24:03(C) or 53:01(A) shall be in effect. This option may be exercised by the Theatre, or the Director, with the consent of the Artists. This option may be exercised by the Artists, after a secret ballot by the Artists in the company and the Director, with no less than a two-thirds (2/3) majority in favour. The Theatre or the Director may elect to revert to standard rehearsal hours, on twenty-two (22) hours notice. This option may not be exercised more than once during a rehearsal period without the Theatre’s consent. Except with the agreement of the Theatre, this option is not available in Theatres operating in repertory, or mixed companies, nor does it apply to the production week.

Shortened Days. On the days of Open House activities, shortened instructional days shall be provided for all K-12 teachers. A shortened day shall also be provided for all K-12 teachers for the last school day of the year on which students are present. Shortened and/or modified days for students, other than Open House for K-12 and graduation for the 9-12 programs, do not affect the length and time-frame of unit members' regular 7.25 and 7.5 hour work days. All unit members are required to return for evening activities to complete their contract day when such shortened days as Open House and Graduation are scheduled.

Shortened Days. The faculty at each site will determine whether to participate in a shortened day schedule. In order to provide for a shortened day, the other four days would be lengthened to make up the time. The Wednesday of each week shall be designated a shortened day. The student instructional day shall end one hour earlier than on the other four days. The purpose of the shortened day is to allow unit members an opportunity to meet for the following purposes: • Thematic Planning • Staff Inservice • Special Projects • Other Educational Related Topics/Activities The focus of three Wednesdays per month will be at the discretion of the district, and the fourth will be at the discretion of the teaching staff for the remainder of the 2013-2014 school year. In the event that there are five Wednesdays in a month, the district will have the ability to determine the focus for three of the five days. In the event that there are three Wednesdays in a month, the district will have the ability to determine the focus for two of the three.
Shortened Days. On early dismissal days prior to a holiday and shortened student days, as a result of a late start and/or early release for inclement weather or other reason, and when teachers are not required to be at work for the full day, paraprofessionals will not be required to be at work when the teachers are not required to be at work, with no loss of pay.

  • Scheduled Days Off Except in cases of emergency, no employee will be required to return to his/her place of employment on his/her scheduled day off.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.

  • Number of Days In computing the number of days for purposes of this Agreement, all days shall be counted, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays; provided, however, that if the final day of any time period falls on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday on which federal banks are or may elect to be closed, then the final day shall be deemed to be the next day which is not a Saturday, Sunday or such holiday.

  • Regular Work Day A regular work day shall consist of six and one-half (6½) hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

  • Boxing Day If another Federal, Provincial or Municipal holiday should be proclaimed during the term of this Agreement, such additional proclaimed holiday will replace one of the above-named holidays as agreed by the parties. The intent is that there will be no more than twelve (12) paid holidays per calendar year for the duration of this agreement.

  • Period 4.1. The period of this Framework Agreement is from and including 1 August 2019 (the “Commencement Date”) to and including 31 July 2023 unless it is terminated earlier under Clause 4.2. 4.2. The period of Call-off Contracts is addressed in the Standard Terms of Supply. The period of a Call-off Contract may continue notwithstanding that the Framework Agreement has expired or terminated.

  • Probation Period It is understood and agreed that the first ninety days of employment shall constitute a probationary period during which period the Employer may, in its absolute discretion, terminate the Employee's employment, for any reason without notice or cause.

  • HSR Waiting Period The waiting period applicable to the consummation of the Merger under the HSR Act shall have expired or been terminated.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.

  • Break Period All employees working in full time (7 or 7.5 hour) positions shall be permitted a fifteen (15) minute rest period both in the first half and the second half of a shift.
