The Parties acknowledge the ongoing time commitment to complete District-mandated assessments and other site-based assessments, including those that require manual scoring or manual data entry; curriculum development and implementation; SPED consultation; and, work associated with Common Core. In recognition, in addition to one-half (1/2) of the annual modified days being set aside for member preparation and planning as specified in Section 8.6.6.1., one half (1/2) of the remaining modified days (i.e. 25% of the annual total) will be designated for unit member-directed preparation time, unless, by a majority secret ballot vote of unit members, the school site chooses to use some of these days for collaborative planning, professional learning with colleagues, or other uses. 8.6.6.4. The site principal will, after consultation with classroom teachers, select the modified day(s) per month to be set aside for preparation time. 8.6.6.5. Modified Days. 24.1 Modified Days will be used primarily for site team planning and articulation. 24.2 One (1) Modified Day each month may be used for staff development purposes. 24.3 Modified Days will not be used for staff meetings. 24.4 The number of Modified Days that can be used for staff development days will not exceed ten (10) days per school year beginning with the 2003-04 school year.

  • Scheduled Days Off Except in cases of emergency, no employee will be required to return to his/her place of employment on his/her scheduled day off.

  • Break Time For daily work assignments of six or more hours, permanent and probationary employees (except bus drivers and bus aides) shall be entitled to one 15-minute break for each half of the work assignment. For work assignments of less than six hours, such employees shall be entitled to one 15-minute break. Employees who spend a majority of the workday working with a Video Display Terminal (VDT) shall be permitted to perform other job-related duties (i.e., work not involving use of a VDT) 10 continuous minutes out of each hour. Such time shall not be cumulative and shall be in addition to break time established above.

  • Scheduled Valid Day A day that is scheduled to be a Valid Day on the principal United States national or regional securities exchange or market on which the Shares are listed or admitted for trading. If the Shares are not so listed or admitted for trading, “Scheduled Valid Day” means a Business Day.

  • Non-Business Days If an Interest Period would otherwise end on a day which is not a Business Day, that Interest Period will instead end on the next Business Day in that calendar month (if there is one) or the preceding Business Day (if there is not).

  • ELECTION DAYS No wages shall be deducted for time lost on election days. The regular work schedule will prevail for Federal and Provincial elections.

  • Rostered Days Off 38.1 The ordinary working hours shall be worked in a ten (10) day/two (2) week cycle, Monday to Friday inclusive with eight (8) hours worked on each of nine days within the cycle and with 0.8 of an hour on each of those days accruing toward the tenth day, which shall be taken as a paid day off. The tenth day will be known as the Rostered Day Off or (RDO). 38.2 RDOs are paid at the ordinary time rate paid to Employees at the time of taking the RDO and will include the daily ‘Fares & Travelling Allowance’, and any applicable Site Allowance as prescribed by this Agreement. 38.3 For clarity, 26 RDOs will be accrued by an Employee in each twelve months continuous service. The Employer must maintain a RDO accrual system that accurately records the accrual of RDOs in accordance with this Agreement. 38.4 Each day of paid leave taken and any public holiday occurring during any cycle of two weeks will be a day worked for accrual purposes. 38.5 Upon commencement of employment, Employees who have not worked a complete ten (10) day/two (2) week cycle, will receive pro-rata accrual entitlements for the first RDO or group of RDOs falling after their commencement of employment. An Employer and Employee may agree to RDO accruals in advance in instances where the Employee does not have sufficient RDO accruals when an RDO falls due. 38.6 Upon termination of employment, an adjustment will be made to ensure that the full RDO entitlements, and no more, have been provided. This means that Employees then having received more RDOs than they were entitled to will have the relevant amount removed from final termination payments, and Employees who have received less than their full RDO entitlement will have the outstanding amount added to final termination payments.

  • Payment on Non-Business Days Whenever any payment to be made shall be due on a day which is not a Business Day, such payment may be due on the next succeeding Business Day.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.

  • Performance on Business Days In the event the date on which performance or payment of any obligation of a party required hereunder is other than a Business Day, the time for payment or performance shall automatically be extended to the first Business Day following such date.

  • Payment Due Dates Notwithstanding the provisions of Sections II and III above, payment due date shall be at least invoice date plus 30 days. If the County is late in issuing an invoice, the contracting entity would always have at least invoice date plus 30 days to pay. If the County is early in issuing an invoice, the contracting entity would still have a payment due date of either 60 days after the beginning of the quarter (quarterly invoices) or 30 days after the beginning of the service month (monthly invoices).
