Snow and Ice Removal. IPS shall provide snow and ice removal from the sidewalks, parking areas, and driveways at the Facilities at times during School Hours in a manner which will be at a standard that is at least equal to that provided by IPS for IPS schools.
Snow and Ice Removal. We may but we have no obligation to remove the natural accumulation of ice and snow from the sidewalks, walkways, or parking areas. Any voluntary removal by us does not impose a continuing duty for us to do so.
Snow and Ice Removal. If the Parties contract for IPS custodial services to be used at the School, IPS shall provide as part of such services snow and ice removal from the sidewalks, parking areas, and driveways at the Facilities during School Hours in a manner which will be at a standard that is at least equal to that provided by IPS for similarly situated IPS schools.
Snow and Ice Removal. Tenants are responsible for all snow and ice removal on premises.
Snow and Ice Removal. (a) Subject to Section 8.13(c), the Department shall provide snow and ice removal services on the HOT Lanes at a comparable level of service to that it provides on the GP Lanes; provided, that the Concessionaire shall pay to the Department an annual fee of $500,000 beginning on the first November 1 after the Service Commencement Date and each November 1 thereafter during the Term, which amount shall be escalated in accordance with increases in the CPI from the initial November 1 on which any such amount is payable hereunder, using the CPI published for the calendar year immediately preceding the year of such payment.
(b) The Department shall have no liability to the Concessionaire arising out of its ice and removal services. Subject to Section 8.13(a) the Department shall have full discretion to establish priorities for its contractors regarding timing and location of services, materials and equipment, without liability to the Concessionaire.
(c) If the Department fails at any time to provide snow and ice removal to the HOT Lanes at a level of service comparable to that it provides on the GP Lanes, with prior written notice to the Department, the Concessionaire may arrange for other contractors to provide such service provided that such contractors shall not in any way hinder the removal of snow and ice from the GP Lanes. The Concessionaire shall provide at least 30 days written notice to Department if such services are to be performed by any such other contractor, in which case subsequent Department payments pursuant to Section 8.13(a) shall thereafter not be required so long as the Department is not providing such services on the HOT Lanes.
Snow and Ice Removal. The City shall have the primary responsibility for removal of snow and ice wherever it may accumulate on the facilities, including driveways, parking areas, sidewalks, or any other location where it may pose a threat for the safe operation of the facility, users thereof, surrounding areas, and pedestrians. The Manager shall assist the City with the snow and ice removal as requested and with safe operations of the facilities during inclement weather and with safe control of traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian. The City shall endeavor to provide 24 hour notice to the Manager. The Manager is prohibited from the use of snow or ice control materials containing sodium chloride or any similar oxidation or corrosion accelerant or inducant. The Manager shall be responsible for clearing sidewalks and pedestrian walkways within the Parking Lots and the adjacent sidewalks. The Manager is also responsible for purchasing and applying ice melt to these areas to ensure pedestrian safety and to have ample inventory of ice melt on-site to address adverse weather conditions. The Manager will be responsible for developing a Winter Weather and Snow Removal Plan and submitting it to the City by September 30th during the first contract year. The Manager will review the Plan and submit updates by October 15th of each contract year thereafter.
Snow and Ice Removal. The Operating Company, on behalf of the Concessionaire, will manage the snow and ice removal services to be provided by the Department and arrange for payment of such services as provided in Section 8.13 of the ARCA.
Snow and Ice Removal. Bargaining unit employees who perform weekend snow and ice removal may accumulate a maximum of sixteen (16) hours per contract year of compensatory time for extra hours worked during weekend snow and ice removal. Such compensatory time shall be given at a rate of one and one-half (1½) times the number of hours worked. Such compensatory time must be used by the end of the contract year. This provision shall not require the bargaining unit employee to elect compensatory time in this circumstance, nor shall it prohibit the Board from flexing bargaining unit employees’ time based on other extra work hours. The use of compensatory time must be scheduled by mutual agreement. If custodians are given more than sixteen (16) hours of compensatory time, bargaining unit employees who perform snow and ice removal will receive the same amount of compensatory time as the custodians.
Snow and Ice Removal. When a buildings and grounds Employee is called in by a supervisor for snow and ice control more than two (2) hours before the start of the regular shift, all hours prior to the start of the regular shift will be paid to the Employee at one and one-half (1-1/2) times their regular hourly rate.
Snow and Ice Removal. LESSEE shall be responsible for all snow and ice removal on the Premises. Aircraft parking ramps and other Air Operations Areas within the Premises shall be maintained to a winter surface condition safe for aircraft operations, and safe for customers and employees moving and working on the ramp. At no time shall LESSEE engage in snow and ice removal beyond the Premises without the prior approval of the LESSOR. Snow piles, windrows or other accumulations of snow shall not:
(a) Be closer than twenty five feet from any security fence;
(b) Block any access gates or controls;
(c) Block or impede any taxiway or taxi lane;
(d) Impose an obstruction within the object free area (OFA) of any taxiway or taxi lane, or;
(e) Infringe upon, block or interrupt the business of other airport tenant leaseholds. Snow piles and accumulations requiring removal may be stored on pre-approved/arranged paved or non-paved areas. Only FAA approved dry and liquid chemicals may be used for de-icing or snow removal on aircraft operating surfaces, as set forth in Advisory Circular 150/5200-30, current edition, or as may be amended, Airport Winter Operations and Safety, Section 4-6 Approved Chemicals, current edition, or as may be amended. The use of snow and ice removal contractors may be authorized subject to prior written approval by LESSOR, and subject to acceptable completion of contractor employee training, and other reasonable safety requirements and standards that LESSOR may impose, including but not limited to compliance with Airport Rules and Regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures. All such snow and ice removal contractors shall maintain a general liability insurance policy of not less than $2,000,000 limit, naming LESSEE, LESSOR and the City of Wichita as additional insureds. LESSOR shall be responsible for snow and ice removal on common use paved surfaces of the Airport not within the Premises.
