SNOW AND ICE CONTROL a. LESSEE shall be responsible for all snow and ice removal on the Premises. Aircraft parking ramps and the Air Operations Area (AOA) within the Premises shall be maintained to a winter surface condition safe for aircraft operations, and safe for customers and employees moving and working on the ramp. At no time shall LESSEE engage in snow and ice removal beyond the Premises without the prior approval of the LESSOR.
b. Snow piles, windrows or other accumulations of snow shall not:
1) Be closer than twenty five feet from any security fence;
2) Block any access gates or controls;
3) Block or impede any taxiway or taxi lane;
4) Impose an obstruction within the object free area of any taxiway or taxi lane;
5) Block or impede the performance of any navigational aid;
6) Infringe upon, block or interrupt the business of other airport tenant leaseholds.
c. Snow piles and accumulations requiring removal may be stored on approved paved or non-paved areas as authorized in advance by LESSOR.
d. Only Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved dry and liquid chemicals may be used for de- icing or snow removal on aircraft operating surfaces, as set forth in Advisory Circular 150/5200-30, current edition, or as may be amended, Airport Winter Operations and Safety, Section 4-6 Approved Chemicals, current edition, or as may be amended.
e. The use of snow and ice removal contractors may be authorized subject to prior written approval by XXXXXX, and subject to acceptable completion of contractor employee training, and other reasonable safety requirements and standards that LESSOR may impose, including but not limited to compliance with Airport Rules and Regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures. All such snow and ice removal contractors shall maintain a general liability insurance policy of not less than
x. XXXXXX shall be responsible for snow and ice removal on paved surfaces of the Airport not within the Premises.
SNOW AND ICE CONTROL a. TENANT shall be responsible for all snow and ice removal on the Premises defined as follows:
1) Shall engage in snow and ice removal only within TENANT’s Premises.
2) Snow removal operations shall not block or interrupt the business of other Airport tenant leaseholds.
3) Shall not move or deposit snow piles off the Premises onto public streets or roadways.
4) Landside areas shall be maintained to a winter surface condition safe for employees and the public accessing the Premises.
5) The use of urea is expressly forbidden by City of Wichita Storm Water Discharge regulations.
6) Commercially available road salt, magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, and other materials must be approved by the manufacturer for pavement deicing purposes.
7) Snow piles and accumulation may be stored on designated and pre-approved locations on the Premises so long as such piles or accumulations comply with the provisions from the Standard of Operating Procedures.
8) All snow and ice removal contractors shall maintain a general liability insurance policy of not less than $1,000,000 limit, naming TENANT, WICHITA AIRPORT AUTHORITY, and the CITY OF WICHITA as additional insureds.
b. LANDLORD shall be responsible for snow and ice removal on paved surfaces of the Airport not within the Premises.
SNOW AND ICE CONTROL. Maintenance of the parking areas and sidewalks at the Ice Arena shall be the responsibility of the CITY.
SNOW AND ICE CONTROL. 1) A day/night list of bargaining unit employees will be posted listing bargaining unit employees in descending order of seniority beginning with the most senior person being assigned to day shift and ending with the least senior person being assigned to night shift for snow/ice control.
2) On the initial occurrence of an event, when the night crew is called into work, the employee shall receive overtime pay, for all hours worked. When the day crew is called into work before 7:00 A.M. on an initial event, the employee shall be entitled to overtime pay for hours worked prior to 7:00 A.M. After the initial call-in, the 8 and 4 hour rotation (12 hour shifts) will begin for both the day and the night crew and employees will be entitled to overtime pay after eight (8) hours of work during the 24-hour period. A 24 hour period is from 7:00 A.M. through 7:00 A.M. For purposes of this section, an initial occurrence will be the first call-in or a call-in following any break in the 8 and 4 rotation. An event will be a weather related occurrence, i.e., snow, sleet, freezing rain. All other emergency situations will be covered under normal overtime pay.
3) During snow and ice control, all hours worked from 12:01 A.
SNOW AND ICE CONTROL. It is reco=ended that for each parking garage, a facility-specific maintenance program be developed. The specific maintenance program should include the following items: A. A schedule of cleaning, -inspection, lubrication, and other recurring maintenance activities. B. A catalog of all equipment, including manufacturer's service manuals for the installed equipment. Product warranties should be included.

SNOW AND ICE CONTROL. Contractor provides all snow plowing, removal of snow from parking lots and sanding services for the Properties, including all parking lots, shipping and receiving area and plaza and sidewalks if applicable, in order to endure safe and adequate parking and traffic ways for vehicles and pedestrians.

SNOW AND ICE CONTROL. 12-Hour Shift Response. Should the potential for a severe snow and/or ice event occur, the City may enact a mandatory Snow and Ice Control 12-Hour Shift Response upon the following terms:
(a) Snow and Ice Control Shifts shall consist of Shift A and Shift B. Shift A shall commence at 7:00 a.m. and continue until 7:15 p.m. Shift B shall commence at 7:00 p.m. and continue until 7:15 a.m. the following morning.
(b) When the Snow and Ice Control Shift is implemented within three (3) hours of the Shift A starting time, Shift A shall respond. When the Snow and Ice Control Shift is implemented within three (3) hours of the Shift B starting time, Shift B shall respond. When the Snow and Ice Control Shift is implemented at any other time, management shall determine which shift shall respond first.
(c) Personnel shall report to their assigned shift upon three (3) hours’ notice.
(d) Employees unable to report for work may use earned time leave for the ten (10) hours straight time portion of their shift, when the twelve (12) hour shift response occurs during the normal work week.
(e) The first ten (10) hours of the twelve (12) hours will be considered the employee’s regularly scheduled shift and shall be paid at straight time. The last two (2) hours of the twelve (12) hours shall be paid or calculated at the appropriate overtime rate.
(f) Employees shall be required to work in twelve (12) hour shifts as assigned until the event is terminated or as otherwise directed by management.
(g) Upon implementation, Snow and Ice Control Shifts shall continue for a period of twenty-four (24) hours, i.e. two (2) twelve (12) hour shifts.
(h) All provisions for overtime pay in Section 8.4 shall apply, including shift differential, if previously applicable, as stated in Sections 8.3(A) and (B). Should Snow and Ice Control Shift activation occur on the weekend, overtime pay shall apply as stated in Section 8.4.
(i) Management shall have the discretion to assign employees in the following classifications to either a Shift A or Shift B in order to meet the operational needs of each snow and ice control event: lift station operator(s); electrician(s); mechanic(s); building maintenance personnel. Employees classified as police mechanics are exempt from assignment to a Snow and Ice Control Shift.
