STAFF COUNCIL. The University Staff Council, formed in May of 2004, acts as an advisory board to the President in representing the concerns of all staff members. Additionally, Staff Council presides over three standing committees: Xxxxx Award Committee, annual awards presented to outstanding faculty members and outstanding staff members nominated by their peers; Professional Development Committee, organizing professional development opportunities and funding for the same; Elections Committee, which coordinates the Staff Council election process. Staff Council is comprised of delegates from each department or group of departments and elected by their peers each year. Term durations are two years and delegates can serve up to two consecutive terms. All delegates serve on one of the three standing committees. STAFF COUNCIL. There shall be a Staff Council for each school building which shall meet with the principal at least once a month for the duration of the school year. Said Council shall consist of not more than one (1) member for every ten (10) employees in the school building, but shall in no event have fewer than three (3) members. A calendar of meetings shall be set in the preceding academic year with the schedule sent to the MEA president and Personnel Director. Minutes of each meeting shall be taken and copies sent to each month to same. Additional members may attend beyond the allotted number with the agreement of both the MEA and the school administrator. Any written guidelines agreed to by the MEA and the MPA will be seen as aids in facilitating the process and not as obstructions to the articulation of concerns.
STAFF COUNCIL. A. The Association shall select four (4) staff representatives for the purpose of reviewing and discussing school problems, practices and curriculum matters. The Council will meet with the Superintendent at least once per month.
STAFF COUNCIL. The Staff Council is the established and recognized local functioning unit of the Michigan Nurses Association at the Xxxxxxx County Health Department. On behalf of employees who are registered nurses within the bargaining unit covered by this Agreement, the responsibility of the Staff Council is the administration of this Agreement in accordance with its proper functions as may be established in this Agreement. One (1) seniority employee shall be designated as the President of the Staff Council. At the discretion of the Nursing Manager or designee and at the request of the President, the Nursing Manager may agree to time off during the work day for the President for Association business. If requested time off cannot be granted, the Nursing Manager may suggest an alternate time.

  • ADVISORY COUNCIL An Advisory Council consisting of the superintendent of each participating District, or his/her designee is hereby created. The purpose of such Advisory Council is to monitor the performance of this Agreement, amend this Agreement (with concurrence of all parties affected), and terminate this Agreement as provided in Section IX. Activities of the Advisory Council shall take place as needed, called by a majority of its members or by the Superintendent of the NWESD, or his/her designee. Decisions by the Advisory Council will be made by a vote of greater than fifty percent (50%) of a quorum. A quorum is defined as at least fifty percent (50%) of the representatives appointed to the Advisory Council. Participation may occur via technological participation, including email providing at least seven (7) calendar days prior written notice was provided to each District superintendent or designee.

  • SCHOOL STAFF COMMITTEES 1. If the majority of the teaching staff in the school so decide, there shall be established a recognized staff committee in that school.

  • MILWAUKEE BOARD OF SCHOOL DIRECTORS AUTHORITY It is hereby agreed and declared that this Contract is made expressly subject to the powers granted to said Milwaukee Board of School Directors, by the applicable provisions of Chapter 119 and Sec.

  • School Board Any reference to School Board or District in this Agreement shall mean the District and/or its designated officials.

  • Health & Safety Committee The Employer agrees to establish a Health & Safety Committee for all employees of the company under the auspices of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). The Committee shall be made up of an equal number (not less than one each) of non-bargaining unit and bargaining unit persons who have completed their probationary period. The Union has the right to appoint the members representing the bargaining unit. The Committee shall keep minutes of its meetings and post them in the shop. One copy will be forwarded to the Union office.

  • Franchise Tax Board Review (a) In addition to the reporting requirements in section 6, Taxpayer agrees to comply with the FTB’s review of the books and records for purposes of determining if Taxpayer has complied with the requirements of this Agreement.

  • Local Safety Committee There shall be established in each department and/or principal place of employment (for example: institutions, hospitals, colleges, transportation department areas, Department of Natural Resources regions, etc.) a joint Safety Committee composed of Appointing Authority representatives selected by the Appointing Authority and employee representatives selected by the Union, one from each bargaining unit represented by the Union but at a minimum, a total of two (2) representatives. If more than one (1) exclusive representative exists in the department or principal place of employment, the Union will attempt to work out an arrangement with the other exclusive bargaining representative(s) to insure their input to the Committee. The chair of the Committee shall be appointed by the Appointing Authority. The Appointing Authority may consider having co-chairs, one management and one labor. The Safety Committee shall meet at least quarterly or as may be legally required and meetings shall be scheduled by the Safety Officer. Additional meetings may be called by the Safety Officer or by the Local Union or Appointing Authority as the need may arise. All Safety Committee meetings shall be held during normal day shift working hours on the Appointing Authority's premises and without loss of pay. The function of the Safety Committee will be to review reports of property damage and personal injury accidents and alleged hazardous working conditions, to provide support for a strong safety program, to review building security issues, and to review and recommend safety policies to the Appointing Authority. Normally, the Committee shall acknowledge in writing receipt of reports of alleged hazardous working conditions within thirty (30) calendar days of their submission. A copy of the Committee's recommendations, if any, to the Appointing Authority regarding the disposition of such reports shall also be provided to the individual who filed the report with the Committee. In addition, the Safety Committee will provide the filing party with a copy of the Appointing Authority's response and/or proposed actions, if any. At the request of the Local Union or Safety Committee, hazard assessments will be made available for review. Each Local Safety Committee in a facility with a laundry and/or a kitchen shall perform a routine heat survey to check temperature, humidity, and exhaust and fan systems in the laundries and kitchens. The Employer agrees to coordinate technical assistance to the Local Safety Committee upon request.
