Standard Work Year. The standard work year for full-time contract, regular faculty members, and non-teaching faculty shall be as it appears in the academic work calendar, subject to the approval of the Special Trustee.

Standard Work Year. For teachers returning to the District without a break in service, the standard work year shall consist of one hundred ninety-two (192) days on duty which shall be made up of days in session, state- mandated school holidays, and non-student work days as prescribed by the Board-approved school calendar(s). For teachers contracting with the District for the first year or returning after a break in service, the standard work year shall consist of one hundred ninety-five (195) days on duty which shall be made up of days in session, state-mandated school holidays and non-student work days as prescribed by the Board-approved school calendar(s).
Standard Work Year. The standard work year for the teacher shall be one hundred ninety (190) days composed of at least one hundred eighty (180) days in session, school holidays as provided by law, and non-student days, all of which shall be served in accordance with Board-approved school calendars. The Superintendent shall have the option of increasing the standard work year up to 193 days, at cost. Any deviation from the standard work year shall be noted on the teacher's individual contract, or on a contract addendum, and shall be mutually agreed upon in writing by the Superintendent and the teacher.

Drivers who accept routes that transport students to other school districts 12 shall fulfill the hours related to the route, regardless whether the Shoreline school 13 calendar is different from the other district’s calendar (example: Spring Break is 14 different between the two calendars). Drivers who accept such routes shall work 15 the days required by the other district calendar(s). It is expected that a driver with 16 an out-of-district route will fulfill their contracted route time. Requests for leave 17 when the school calendars conflict may be granted by the Director of 18 Transportation, in consultation with the Director of Human Resources. If a driver’s 19 entire assignment is tied to another school calendar that ends prior to Shoreline’s 20 school calendar, the driver may accept additional work in Shoreline

  • Basic Work Year The regular work year shall be prescribed by the School District each year for regular employees.

  • Work Week and Work Day (a) (Applicable to full-time employees only) The normal or standard work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours, with a normal or standard work day of seven and one-half (7½) hours except in those Hospitals where agreements already provide a standard or normal work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours per week and seven and one-half (7½) hours per day. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours of work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this Article). The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.

  • Extended Work Year A teacher requested by the Board to work in his/her regular assignment beyond the contracted number of days shall be offered an extended contract and compensated at the scheduled per diem rate, as specified in Article XXV. Compensation for weeks worked after July 1 shall be at the new rate.

  • Weekend Work (a) Overtime work on Saturday shall be paid for at the rate of time and a half (1.5) for the first two (2) hours and double time thereafter, provided that all overtime worked after 12 noon on Saturday shall be paid for at the rate of double time.
