STEELWORKERS HUMANITY FUND. 28.01 The Company agrees to deduct on a weekly basis the amount of $0.01 cents per hour from the wages of employees in the bargaining unit of all hours worked prior to the fifteenth day of the month following, to pay the amount so deducted to he Humanity Fund and to forward to the United Steelworkers, National Office, 000 Xxxxxxxx Xxx. X., Xxxxx 000 Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxx, X0X 0X0, and to advise in writing both the Humanity Fund at the aforementioned address and the Local Union that such payment and the names of all employees in the bargaining unit on whose behalf such payment has been made.

STEELWORKERS HUMANITY FUND. 22.01 The Steelworkers Humanity Fund is a charitable organization, which provides emergency food aid and assistance in response to international humanitarian disasters, supports food banks in Canada, and funds international development projects and development education. 22.02 The Company agrees to deduct one dollar ($1.00) each pay period from the wages of all Employees and prior to the 15th day of the following month remit the amount deducted to the “Steelworkers Humanity Fund” at the National Office of the union, 8th Floor, 000 Xxxxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xxxxxxx, Xxxxxxx, X0X 0X0. 22.03 The Company agrees to provide the Humanity Fund with the names of all Employees for whom deductions have been made, together with the amount deducted. The Company agrees to report the amount of an Employee’s contribution on his annual T-4 as a charitable contribution. 22.04 It is understood and agreed that participation by in the program of deductions for the Humanity Fund may be discontinued by an Employee by providing written notice to both the Company and the Local Union.

STEELWORKERS HUMANITY FUND. 24.01 For the purpose of international aid and development, the Company agrees to deduct the amount of (not less than two cents ($0.02)) per hour from the wages of all employees in the bargaining unit for all hours worked to a maximum of forty (40) straight time hours per week, and on a monthly basis, to pay the amount so deducted to the "Humanity Fund" and to forward such payment to: United Steelworkers Humanity Fund 000 Xxxxxxxx Xxxxxx X., 0xx Xxxxx Xxxxxxx, Xxxxxxx X0X 0X0 and to advise in writing both the Humanity Fund at the aforementioned address and the Local Union that such payment has been made, the amount of such payment and the names of all employees in the bargaining unit on whose behalf such payment has been made. The first Humanity Fund deduction as aforesaid shall be the fifth (5th) week following the ratification of this Agreement. It is agreed that the total for each employee’s yearly deduction will be entered in Box 46 (Charitable Contribution) of the Revenue Canada T4 slip for the year it has been deducted. For this purpose, the payroll department will note the following Charitable Donation number for the “Humanity Fund”: R119172278 RR 0001.

It is understood and agreed that participation by an employee in the Bargaining Unit in the program of deductions set forth above may be discontinued by an employee in the Bargaining Unit after the receipt by the Company and the Local Union of that employee’s written statement of his/her desire to discontinue such deductions from his/her pay which may be received within four weeks of ratification of this Agreement or at any time thereafter.

Prior to the fifteenth day of the month following, to pay the amount so deducted to the Humanity Fund and to forward such payment to United Steelworkers, National Office, 000 Xxxxxxxx Xxx Xxxx, Xxxxx 000, Xxxxxxx, Xxxxxxx X0X 0X0, and to advice in writing both the Humanity Fund at the aforementioned address and the Local Union that such payment and the names of all employees in the Bargaining Unit on whose behalf such payment has been made. It is understood and agreed that participation by an employee in the Bargaining Unit in the program of deductions set forth above may be discontinued by an employee in the Bargaining Unit after receipt by the Company and the Local Union of that employee’s written statement of their desire to discontinue such deductions from their pay.
STEELWORKERS HUMANITY FUND. The Employer and Union members shall each contribute one cent ($0.01) per regular hour paid to the Steelworkers Humanity Fund through payroll deduction.
