Step Three - Superintendent. If no satisfactory settlement is reached at Step Two, the grievance may be appealed to Step Three, Superintendent, or designated representative, within seven (7) working days of the receipt of the decision rendered in Step Two.
4.2.3.1 The Superintendent or designated representative shall arrange for a grievance meeting with the grievant(s) and/or Association representative, and such meeting shall be scheduled within seven (7) working days of the receipt of the Step Three appeal. The purpose of this meeting shall be to affect a resolution of the grievance.
4.2.3.2 The Superintendent or designated representative shall provide a written decision, incorporating the reasons upon which the decision was based to the grievant(s), Association representative, and immediate supervisor within seven (7) working days from the conclusion of the meeting.
Step Three - Superintendent. If, within fifteen (15) days, the Grievance Committee is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance, or if no disposition has been made within five (5) school days of such meeting (or eight (8) school days from the date of filing, whichever shall be later) the grievance shall be transmitted to the Superintendent. Step Three - Superintendent. If the grievant is not satisfied with the answer given in Step 2, he shall, within seven (7) calendar days of receipt of the answer, forward the grievance to the Superintendent or her designee when the Superintendent is unavailable due to vacation, illness or leave of absence. The Superintendent or her designee will, upon request, hold a hearing with the grievant and the Union representative within twelve (12) calendar days of the request and submit a written answer to the grievant within seven (7) calendar days of the hearing or receipt of the grievance if no hearing is requested. The grievance may not be amended after this level.
Step Three - Superintendent. If the grievant is not satisfied with the disposition of their grievance at Step Two, they may appeal the grievance to the Superintendent within five (5) days after the supervisor's response is due. In a group grievance, which commences at Step Two, the Association may file that grievance within fifteen (15) days after the Association knows or should have known of the alleged violation. The Superintendent shall have five (5) days after receipt of the grievance in. which to schedule a meeting with the grievant and their representative and five (5) days after the meeting to respond in writing to the grievance.
Step Three - Superintendent. If the Grievant is not satisfied at Step Two, they may, within fourteen (14) calendar days after receipt of the immediate Supervisor’s written response in Step Two, submit the grievance to the Superintendent or designee. The Grievant, a Union Representative and the Superintendent or designee shall meet to discuss the grievance without undue delay. Within fourteen (14) calendar days after the Step Three grievance meeting, the Superintendent or designee shall communicate a written response to the Grievant and the Union.
Step Three - Superintendent. If the answer at Step Two is not satisfactory, the grievance and previous answers shall be forwarded to the Superintendent of Schools within seven (7) work days of receipt of the Step Two answer. Within seven (7) work days of receipt of the grievance and answers, the Superintendent and/or his/her designee(s) shall meet with the aggrieved employee(s) and the Association representative(s) in an effort to resolve the grievance. If not resolved at such meeting, the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee shall give a written answer to the grievance, in duplicate, within seven (7) work days after the meeting.

Step Three - Superintendent. The employee, no later than five working days after receipt of the school business administrator's decision, may appeal the decision to the superintendent. The appeal to the superintendent must be made in writing, reciting the facts and evidence submitted to the school business administrator as specified above and his or her dissatisfaction with decisions previously rendered. The superintendent shall attempt to resolve the grievance as promptly as possible but within a period not to exceed ten working days, unless a different period is mutually agreed upon. The superintendent shall communicate his decision in writing to the employee and school business administrator.
Step Three - Superintendent. 1. If the appropriate administrator in Step Two is not the Superintendent, the grievant, if not satisfied with the Step Two response may request the matter to be considered at a meeting with the Superintendent.
2. Such request shall be in writing by completing the appropriate sections of the grievance form and shall be filed with the Superintendent within five (5) days of the grievant's receipt of the Step Two response.
3. Said meeting shall be held within five (5) days of receipt of the written request.
4. The Superintendent shall take action regarding the matter within five (5) days of the meeting, complete the necessary sections of the grievance form, and provide said completed form to the Association.
5. The action taken and reason for same shall be included on the grievance form.
Step Three - Superintendent. If denied at Step Two, the Employee, within ten (10) workdays of such denial, may appeal this decision to the Superintendent. The superintendent will hold a meeting within ten (10) workdays of the receipt of the appeal. The Employee, Association Representative, Grievance Chair and MEA UniServ Director may attend the meeting to present and discuss the grievance. The Superintendent shall issue a written response within five (5) workdays after the meeting.
