Ten Month. Employees who are employed for ten months per year shall be entitled to vacation pay computed on the following basis to the employee’s length of service.

Ten Month a. Ten (10) month bargaining unit members receive 1/26 of their pay every other Friday including July and August. Pay for July and August is for service rendered during the previous school year. b. In the event of resignation of a Ten (10) Month bargaining unit member completing a full year of teaching service, the date of resignation should be August 31st, and July and August pay will be forthcoming as usual. c. In the event of resignation of a Ten (10) Month bargaining unit member during the school year, the amount due is determined by the following formula: (Total Days Worked/Total Days in Bargaining Unit Member Work Year) x Annual Salary - Pay Already Received * Periodically, a three (3) week span between pays is necessary since 365 days divided by 26 pays is not even and the arithmetical remainder accumulates. Since pay is for an annual period, this adjustment is necessary periodically.
Ten Month. All teachers, media aides, and paraprofessionals will be paid on a ten-month basis. Paydays will be on the 15th and the last day of the month. In the event that these days fall on a weekend or holiday, paychecks will be distributed on the last working day prior to these dates. The final paycheck of each school year is to be distributed after "final checkout" has been accomplished.
Ten Month. It is understood that secretarial assistance is not normally required during the Christmas, and Summer recesses. Salary shall be continued for unpaid time occurring in the Christmas and recess periods through the utilization of vacation pay accruing during the school year. If the principal, or supervisor out of the bargaining unit, arranges for work to be done during these periods, the time so worked is to be submitted on a regular time sheet.

Related to Ten Month

  • Month A period commencing at 10:00 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, on the first Day of a calendar month and extending until 10:00 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, on the first Day of the next succeeding calendar month. Monthly shall have the correlative meaning.

Should an employee be required to work in excess of five (5) continuous hours from the commencement of their regular shift without being provided a meal period, the employee shall be compensated two (2) times the employee's straight-time hourly rate of pay for the time worked during their normal meal period and be afforded a meal period at the first available opportunity during working hours without compensation.

  • Christmas Period relating to scheduling during this period will apply, except as modified to confirm that the weekend shift employee will continue to work weekends during this period.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.
