Time Off Between Scheduled Shifts. Every reasonable effort shall be made to avoid scheduling the commencement of a shift within twelve (12) hours of the completion of the employee's previous shift provided however, that if an employee is required to work before twelve (12) hours have elapsed, she shall be paid time and one-half (1-1/2) for those hours that fall within the twelve (12) hour period. It is understood that the term "shift" does not include any period of time in respect of which an employee is entitled to overtime payments or compensating leave in accordance with the overtime and call back Articles of this Agreement.

Time Off Between Scheduled Shifts. Every reasonable effort shall be made to avoid scheduling the commencement of a shift within twelve (12) hours of the completion of the Nurse's previous shift provided however, if a Nurse is required to work before twelve (12) hours have elapsed, she shall be paid time one and one-half (1 ½) for those hours that fall within the twelve (12) hour period. It is understood that the term "shift" does not include any period of time in respect of which a Nurse is entitled to overtime payments or compensating leave in accordance with the overtime and call back Articles of this Agreement. This Article will not apply to Compressed Work Week Agreements.
Time Off Between Scheduled Shifts. ‌ When a full time employee is required to change shifts, sixteen (16) hours shall be allowed between shifts. If, however, an employee is required to report on a second shift with less than sixteen (16) hours after finishing the first shift, the employee shall be paid at premium rates of time and one half for the period worked before the sixteen (16) hour time has expired. When a part time employee is required to change a scheduled shift, 11 hours shall be allowed between shifts. If, however, an employee is required to report on a second shift with less than eleven (11) hours after finishing the first shift, the employee shall be paid premium rates of time and one half for the period worked before the eleven (11) hours has expired. Agreed to added shifts or call-ins will be exempt from the premium pay of time and one half.

  • Time Off Between Shifts Failure to provide the minimum number of hours between the commencement of an employee's scheduled shift and the commencement of such employee's next scheduled shift shall result in payment of one and one-half (1½) times the employee's regular straight time hourly rate for only those hours which reduce the minimum hour period. Where the minimum period is reduced as a result of an approved change of shift(s) requested by the employee(s), such premium payment shall not apply. The minimum number of hours for purposes of this Article shall be determined locally and will be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.

  • Rest Between Shifts Section 7.10 of the Agreement shall apply in its entirety with the sole exception being that the length of the rest period shall be eight (8) hours rather than eleven (11) hours.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling on Scheduled Days Off 1. When a holiday falls on a full-time employee's regularly scheduled day off, the employee shall receive eight (8) hours of compensatory time.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday.

  • Vacation Schedule 1. Vacation periods shall be fixed by the Employer to suit the requirements of his business, but as far as possible and practicable, vacations will be given during the summer months, and for employees with school-age children, during the school vacations. Vacation periods shall be unbroken unless by mutual consent between Employer and employee, or where it is impractical. Grievances relating to this Section shall be subject to the Adjustment and Arbitration Procedure in this Agreement.

  • Scheduled Days Off Except in cases of emergency, no employee will be required to return to his/her place of employment on his/her scheduled day off.

  • Effective Date of Settlements ‌ Settlements reached at any step of the grievance procedure in this article, other than Clause 8.11, shall be applied retroactively to the date of the occurrence of the action or situation which gave rise to the grievance, but not prior to the effective date of the agreement in effect at the time of the occurrence or the date set by a board of arbitration.

  • Four Day Work Week Schedule i. When working under the four (4) day work week schedule, Employees shall be paid at double time (2x) the regular hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the regular ten (10) hours per day Monday through Thursday.

  • Salary Schedule Placement 1. Credit hours for the purpose of placement on the salary schedule shall be defined as those semester hour credits earned for graduate courses that are within the teacher’s present certification or a planned program leading to additional areas of teacher certification, guidance or administration. Upon approval of the Superintendent, any other courses, graduate or undergraduate may be certified for proper placement on the salary schedule.

  • EFFECTIVE DATE OF SETTLEMENT 38. The Effective Date of this Settlement shall be the first business day on which all of the following shall have occurred or been waived:
