Transportation Procedures. This article supersedes all previously negotiated MOU’s dealing with the Transportation Department except for the Agreement regarding Drug and Alcohol Testing dated August 21, 2019, the Transportation Procedures MOU dated May 6, May 6 (later corrected to May 27), 2016, the MOU regarding Versa Trans Adoption dated June 19, 2017, and the MOU regarding the New Transportation Facility dated January 19, 2018.
Transportation Procedures. Procedures within the Transportation Department will be outlined in the Department Handbook. The Handbook will be reviewed on an annual basis with feedback from the transportation employees. Procedures in the Handbook are not subject to the Grievance Process.
Transportation Procedures. If an ERTeam response to the scene of the emergency is necessary, transportation will be required. The type of transportation used will be determined by the ERCoordinator, based on several factors: • Urgency of response • Distance to scene • Available access to scene • Amount of equipment neededNumber of team members required to respond, and • Weather conditions. If immediate response is necessary, the fastest mode of transportation to the scene will be used. If air transportation is used, arrangements will be made for travel to the scene from the nearest airfield. The ERCoordinator will make travel arrangements. If the response is less urgent, or is to provide backup or to relieve another ERTeam Member at the scene, then ground transportation will be used.
