Travel Benefit. (i) Transportation by scheduled air, bus or rail or equivalent self-transportation to and from the nearest locale equipped to provide the treatment required, when ordered by the attending physician or surgeon because, in their opinion, adequate treatment is not available locally. (ii) Said transportation will not normally be provided to points beyond Vancouver, B.C. Reimbursement for transportation to a locale outside of B.C. will be limited to the lesser of: (1) the actual amount for such transportation, or (2) the amount which would have been paid if similar transportation were taken to Vancouver, B.C. (iii) Transportation of an attendant for the patient being transported under (a) above, when ordered by the attending physician or surgeon. (1) Accommodation and expenses in a commercial facility to a maximum of one hundred dollars ($100) per day to a maximum of seven days. (2) Accommodation expenses at a BC Cancer Agency's treatment centre for the duration of treatment. (3) Accommodation expenses at a family care centre to a maximum of $700 per trip. (4) Accommodation expenses for an adult attendant when required on a referral up to a maximum of seven days at $100.00 per day. (v) Cab/bus fares to and from the airport in the region, between the destination airport and accommodation and/or location of treatment, up to a maximum of $100 per trip. (vi) When referred by the BCGEU or family physician of an employee participating in the Employee and Family Assistance Program, the cost of transportation and expenses as in (i), (ii), (iii) and (iv) in reference to an approved alcohol and drug rehabilitation institute, shall be reimbursed.

Travel Benefit. When the employee is the one going out of town for a medical referral, the Board will pay a per diem of $75.00 per day in lieu of wages for full time employees and a prorated portion for part-time employees for a maximum of three (3) days per referral.
Travel Benefit. (a) Full-time nurses will receive a semi-annual travel benefit from the Employer that is equivalent to the regular return airfare from their place of employment to Toronto two (2) times per year for the purpose of annual vacation or employment leave. The airfare will be determined through Air Creebec Inc. current rates and will include not only the nurse but also the nurse’s family (i.e. spouse and dependants over the age of two years). Quotes obtained for return travel airfare will be done by April 1st and October 1st and will be provided to the local union. i) In order to be considered a dependant, the employee will be required to complete a Declaration of Dependants, available from the Employer, identifying that the claimed spouse and dependants are indeed that employee's dependants and that they reside with them at their place of employment. The employee will also be required to submit proof of marriage (ie: marriage certificate) or declaration in the case of a common-law relationship, and birth certificates for each dependant in order to qualify for the benefit for those dependants. ii) all dependants must reside in the same residence as the employee and be totally dependent upon the employee. iii) the only exception to (ii) above would be a dependant who may be in another centre for education purposes but is still totally dependent upon the employee. (b) Full-time nurses, in the first year of employment, may take this benefit after 6 months of employment but if they terminate prior to completing 12 months of service, the said benefit will be deducted from the nurse’s last cheque. (c) Full-time nurses terminating their employment after completing 12 full months will have the cost of travel reimbursed by the Employer up to a maximum of the current airfare from their place of duty to Toronto. (d) Full-time nurses terminating their employment prior to 6 full months will not be eligible for any travel benefits mentioned in this Article including the reimbursement for shipping out their personal effects. (e) Full-time personnel will only be eligible for travel benefits two (2) times for each 12 months of service or multiple thereof, whether it be for vacation, employment leave or for termination. (f) If the policy of the Employer was to extend Turnaround Travel benefits to part-time nurses then this practice shall continue.

(d) Cab/bus fares to and from the airport in the region, between the destination airport and accommodation and/or location of treatment, up to a maximum of one hundred dollars ($100) per trip. (e) When referred by the BCGEU or family physician of an employee participating in the Employee and Family Assistance Program, the cost of transportation and expenses as in (a), (b), (c) and (d) in reference to an approved alcohol and drug rehabilitation institute, shall be reimbursed. (f) All expenses claimed must be accompanied by receipts.

Travel Benefit. Provided that requirements of Revenue Canada and Teachers Retirement Fund have been met, for the purposes maximum amount by clause of this agreement shall be cansidered to be a Travel Assistance Benefit paid in a designated area as defined by Canada shall be indicated as such in the appropriate box on the slip. Travel Benefit. In the event that the Company requires the Executive to travel in the United States for more than twenty (20) days (but less than thirty-five (35) days) during any period of twelve (12) consecutive months, the Company will either purchase for Executive a total of two (2) roundtrip tickets (economy class airfare) to be used by his sons to visit the Executive in the PRC or provide the Executive with compensation equivalent for such tickets.
Travel Benefit. The District agrees to reimburse each teacher each year for one round-trip air fare per fiscal year, scheduled air carrier tourist or seat rate, from duty station to Anchorage and return not to exceed $400. To receive the reimbursement the teacher must present a receipt for payment of the ticket no later than June 30th of the fiscal year. Payment will be made within thirty (30) days of receipt of request. The return fare will be forfeited by a teacher if he/she does not fulfill his/her contract. Travel pay shall not be forfeited by a teacher who cannot fulfill his/her contract because of physical or mental incapacitation as certified by a physician.
