TUITION REIMBURSEMENT AND HORIZONTAL MOVEMENT. ‌ 1. The Board shall reimburse sixty percent (60%) tuition for any course which is a part of a preapproved program for a graduate degree leading to a subsequent Master's degree, a preapproved doctoral degree program, or a preapproved certification program that the Superintendent deems relevant for the educational needs of the District, which shall be limited to twelve (12) credits per fiscal year at the aforesaid sixty percent (60%) reimbursement. No random courses may be taken. Courses taken under these circumstances will be eligible for both tuition reimbursement at sixty percent (60%) and horizontal movement. Employees need not complete the preapproved Master's, the preapproved certification, or the preapproved doctoral program in order to obtain reimbursement or horizontal movement. 2. The following provisions shall apply to qualify for tuition reimbursement: a. Credits must be earned at a state-approved baccalaureate degree granting institution or from a state-approved in-service course, with the following exception: i. A professional employee who resigns from the District shall not be entitled to tuition reimbursement for courses which the employee took during the semester prior to the effective date of his/her resignation. If the professional employee has already received such reimbursement, then the professional employee shall return the reimbursement to the District, or the District may deduct the amount to be returned from amounts otherwise due to the professional employee. b. Credits may be taken at a community college with Administration approval prior to enrollment for the courses. 3. A grade of B or better or a pass for a Pass/Fail Course must be earned for any credits for which tuition reimbursement is requested. 4. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Board shall reimburse forty percent (40%) tuition for any course that is preapproved subject to a certain set of criteria set forth below that may involve random courses taken or undergraduate courses taken that are not part of a preapproved program for a graduate degree (beyond a first Master's or a doctoral program). Under these circumstances, such courses taken will be eligible for tuition reimbursement at the forty percent (40%) amount, but no eligibility for horizontal movement.   • Tuition Reimbursement Any regular full time employee covered by this contract is eligible for financial assistance for tuition cost for college or university courses taken in a technical, undergraduate, or graduate program after one (1) complete year of full time County employment. The Employer shall reimburse fifty percent (50%) of tuition cost of up to a maximum of $1,000.00 per year if: 1. Recommended by the employee's supervisor and approved by the Chief Judge of the applicable Court prior to enrollment in the course; and, 2. The course taken meets one (1) of the following criteria: (a) it is directly job related, as determined by the Chief Judge; (b) it is in preparation of a job related promotion; (c) it is required or is elective subject mandatory to obtain a diploma, certificate, or undergraduate degree in preparation for advancement to a higher classification in employment with the Court. 3. Under special circumstances a supervisor may authorize an employee to attend classes during normal working hours. HOWEVER, IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INDIVIDUAL EMPLOYEE TO ENSURE THE INDIVIDUAL MAKES UP ALL LOST WORK TIME. 4. Prior to being reimbursed for tuition expenses, the employee must present to the Employer a receipt for payment and proof of a grade of C (or its equivalent) or higher. 5. Employees eligible for education compensation under the veterans G.I. Xxxx or other government sponsored programs will have to exhaust their other benefits prior to being eligible for Employer education benefits. 6. Reimbursement includes tuition only and does not include registration, books, lab fees, etc. 7. Reimbursement is subject to and conditioned upon money being appropriated in the Employer's budget for this specific purpose and employees must apply for the tuition reimbursement by August prior to the calendar year for which the funds are requested so the applicable court can seek funding for the request through the annual budget process. 8. Tuition reimbursement is subject to all IRS required tax withholdings. 9. Repayment to the Employer in one lump sum will be required by an employee who voluntarily resigns or is discharged from employment within three (3) years following completion of coursework. In the event the employee does not continue employment for the prescribed period, the employee will be required to reimburse the Employer on a prorated basis for tuition reimbursement received as follows:

  • Transportation Reimbursement Employees who, during the course of their normal duties, are required to actually transport clients/consumers/felons in their own personal vehicle on a regular basis, are eligible for reimbursement for the cost of an automobile rider to their existing insurance policy. To be eligible for the reimbursement, the employee must demonstrate the following: 1. That he/she is normally required to transport clients/consumers/felons in the course of their duties. 2. That there is no access to or available State vehicles. 3. That public transportation cannot be used. 4. That their insurance company requires a special rider on their existing automobile policy. 5. Proof that such a rider has been purchased. 6. Proof of a valid driver’s license and insurance policy. By receiving such reimbursement, employees acknowledge that they may be required to use their own personal vehicle to transport clients/consumers/felons in the normal course of their duties. The reimbursement to such employee(s) is the actual cost of the rider not to exceed seventy-five dollars ($75) per year whichever is less. This reimbursement will be paid on a yearly basis in the pay period that includes July 1st. Employees who either resign, retire, or have their employment terminated during the year and employees who start during any part of the year will have the reimbursement prorated. In the case of employees who either retire, resign, or have their employment terminated will have that portion of the reimbursement repaid to the State, in the last paycheck.

  • Meal Reimbursement When an employee is specifically directed by the City to work two (2) hours or longer at the beginning or end of their normal work shift away from their place of residence of at least eight (8) hours or work two (2) hours or longer at the end of their work shift of at least eight (8) hours when the employee is called in to work on their regular day off, or otherwise works under circumstances for which meal reimbursement is authorized per Ordinance 111768 and the employee actually purchases a reasonably priced meal away from his place of residence as a result of such additional hours of work, the employee shall be reimbursed for the "reasonable cost" of such meal in accordance with Seattle Municipal Code (SMC) 4.20.

  • Mileage Reimbursement Subject to the current Vehicle Rules and Regulations established by the Board, an employee who is authorized to use a private automobile in the performance of duties shall be paid the Internal Revenue Service Standard Mileage Rate for the Business Use of a Car for each mile driven during each monthly period.

  • Reimbursement Premium (a) If the Company writes Covered Policies before June 1 of the Contract Year, the Company shall pay the FHCF its Reimbursement Premium in installments due on or before August 1, October 1, and December 1 of the Contract Year in amounts to be determined by the FHCF. However, if the Company’s Reimbursement Premium for the prior Contract Year was less than $5,000, the Company’s full provisional Reimbursement Premium, in an amount equal to the Reimbursement Premium paid in the prior year, shall be due in full on or before August 1 of the Contract Year. the Company will be invoiced for amounts due, if any, beyond the provisional Reimbursement Premium payment, on or before December 1 of the Contract Year. (b) If the Company is under administrative supervision, or if any control or oversight of the Company has been transferred through any legal or regulatory action to a state regulator or court appointed receiver or rehabilitator (referred to in the aggregate as “state action”): 1. The full annual provisional Reimbursement Premium as billed and any outstanding balances will be due and payable on August 1, or the date that such State action occurs after August 1 of the Contract Year. 2. Failure by such Company to pay the full annual provisional Reimbursement Premium as specified in subparagraph 1. by the applicable due date shall result in the 45% Coverage Level being deemed for the complete Contract Year regardless of the level selected for the Company through the execution of this Contract and regardless of whether a Covered Event occurred or triggered coverage. 3. Subparagraphs 1. and 2. do not apply if the state regulator, receiver, or rehabilitator provides a letter of assurance to the FHCF stating that the Company will have the resources and will pay the full Reimbursement Premium for the Coverage Level selected through the execution of this Contract. 4. When control or oversight has been transferred, in whole or in part, through a legal or regulatory action, the controlling management of the Company shall specify by August 1 or as soon thereafter as possible (but not to exceed two weeks after any regulatory or legal action) in a letter to the FHCF as to the Company’s intentions to either pay the full FHCF Reimbursement Premium as specified in subparagraph 1., to default to the 45% Coverage Level being deemed as specified in subparagraph 2., or to provide the assurances as specified in subparagraph 3. (c) A New Participant that first begins writing Covered Policies on or after June 1 but prior to December 1 of the Contract Year shall pay the FHCF a provisional Reimbursement Premium of $1,000 no later than 30 days from the date the New Participant began writing Covered Policies. The Administrator shall calculate the Company's actual Reimbursement Premium for the period based on its actual exposure as of November 30 of the Contract Year, as reported on or before February 1 of the Contract Year. To recognize that New Participants have limited exposure during this period, the actual Reimbursement Premium as determined by processing the Company's exposure data shall then be divided in half, the provisional Reimbursement Premium shall be credited, and the resulting amount shall be the total Reimbursement Premium due for the Company for the remainder of the Contract Year. However, if that amount is less than $1,000, then the Company shall pay $1,000. The Reimbursement Premium payment is due no later than April 1 of the Contract Year. The Company’s Retention and coverage will be determined based on the total Reimbursement Premium due as calculated above. (d) A New Participant that first begins writing Covered Policies on or after December 1 through and including May 31 of the Contract Year shall pay the FHCF a Reimbursement Premium of $1,000 no later than 30 days from the date the New Participant began writing Covered Policies. (e) The requirement that the Reimbursement Premium is due on a certain date means that the Reimbursement Premium shall be remitted by wire transfer or ACH and shall have been credited to the FHCF’s account, as set out on the invoice sent to the Company, on the due date applicable to the particular installment. (f) Except as required by Section 215.555(7)(c), Florida Statutes, or as described in the following sentence, Reimbursement Premiums, together with earnings thereon, received in a given Contract Year will be used only to pay for Losses attributable to Covered Events occurring in that Contract Year or for Losses attributable to Covered Events in subsequent Contract Years and will not be used to pay for past Losses or for debt service on post-event revenue bonds issued pursuant to Section 215.555(6)(a)1., Florida Statutes. Reimbursement Premiums and earnings thereon may be used for payments relating to such revenue bonds in the event emergency assessments are insufficient. If Reimbursement Premiums or earnings thereon are used for debt service on post- event revenue bonds, then the amount of the Reimbursement Premiums or earnings thereon so used shall be returned, without interest, to the Fund when emergency assessments or other legally available funds remain available after making payment relating to the post-event revenue bonds and any other purposes for which emergency assessments were levied.

  • Education Reimbursement The County will provide education reimbursement for education costs incurred by regular employees who apply for such reimbursement in accordance with the policies and procedures governing the education reimbursement program. The maximum reimbursement shall be $1,500 per year.

  • Expense Reimbursements To the extent that any reimbursements payable pursuant to this Agreement are subject to the provisions of Section 409A of the Code, any such reimbursements payable to Executive pursuant to this Agreement shall be paid to Executive no later than December 31 of the year following the year in which the expense was incurred, the amount of expenses reimbursed in one year shall not affect the amount eligible for reimbursement in any subsequent year, and Executive’s right to reimbursement under this Agreement will not be subject to liquidation or exchange for another benefit.

  • Business Expense Reimbursements During the Term, the Company shall promptly reimburse Executive for Executive’s reasonable and necessary business expenses in accordance with the Company’s then-prevailing policies and procedures for expense reimbursement (which shall include appropriate itemization and substantiation of expenses incurred).

  • Personal Property Reimbursement Employees shall, in proper cases, be reimbursed for the repair or replacement of personal property damaged in the line of duty without fault of the employee. The amount of reimbursement for articles of clothing shall be the depreciated value based on the age and condition of the article. Reimbursement for a watch shall be limited to the functional value of the watch.

  • Travel Expense Reimbursement Pricing for services provided under this Contract are exclusive of any travel expenses that may be incurred in the performance of those services. Travel expense reimbursement may include personal vehicle mileage or commercial coach transportation, hotel accommodations, parking and meals; provided, however, the amount of reimbursement by Customers shall not exceed the amounts authorized for state employees as adopted by each Customer; and provided, further, that all reimbursement rates shall not exceed the maximum rates established for state employees under the current State Travel Management Program (xxxx://xxx.xxxxxx.xxxxx.xx.xx/procurement/prog/stmp/). Travel time may not be included as part of the amounts payable by Customer for any services rendered under this Contract. The DIR administrative fee specified in Section 5 below is not applicable to travel expense reimbursement. Anticipated travel expenses must be pre-approved in writing by Customer.
