UNSAFE AND HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS. Employees shall not be required to work under unsafe or hazardous conditions or to perform tasks which endanger their health, safety or well-being.

UNSAFE AND HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS. All employees have the obligation to call attention to the Board in writing of any suspected unsafe or hazardous conditions. The Board shall respond in writing to the employee reporting the unsafe or hazardous condition, stating what action, if any, it will take to remedy the condition.
UNSAFE AND HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS. In the case of a bomb threat or other emergency requiring evacuation, all bargaining unit members shall leave the building with the students and teachers. Additionally, no bargaining unit member will be required to reenter the building until it is declared safe for students and employees. Bargaining unit members may volunteer to enter an evacuated building for the purpose of assisting law enforcement, fire and/or other emergency personnel.

UNSAFE AND HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS. The Board shall strive to provide safe equipment and working conditions in accordance with local, state, and federal safety regulations. Employees shall promptly report instances of unsafe working conditions or equipment to their immediate supervisors. If the immediate supervisor fails to take prompt corrective action, then the employee(s) shall notify the Superintendent. Employees shall not perform work under unsafe or hazardous conditions. If such conditions are judged by the Superintendent or his/her designee to be unsafe or hazardous, the employee(s) shall be assigned to other work.

If said employee, after concentrated efforts cannot resolve problem with supervisor, he then may proceed to next level of management. The employee shall have the right to file a written complaint with the School Board.
UNSAFE AND HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS. Teachers who encounter conditions, which are likely to endanger the health or safety of teachers or students or interfere with the student’s educational process, shall promptly report the condition to their Building Principal. The Building Principal shall promptly investigate or cause to be investigated the condition giving rise to the report.
