Voluntary Political Action Fund. During the term of this Agreement, the Employer shall deduct the sum specified from the pay of each member of the Union who voluntarily executes a political action contribution wage assignment authorization form that complies with WAC 390-17- 100. The minimum deduction will be two dollars ($2.00) per pay period. Each such form shall be provided to the Employer. When filed with the Employer, the authorization form will be honored in accordance with its terms. The amount deducted and a roster of all employees using payroll deduction for voluntary political action contributions will be promptly transmitted to the Union by separate check payable to its order. Upon issuance and transmission of a check to the Union, the Employer's responsibility shall cease with respect to such deductions. The Union and each employee authorizing the assignment of wages for the payment of voluntary political action contributions hereby undertakes to indemnify and hold the Employer harmless from all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that may arise against the Employer for or on account of any deduction made from the wages of such employee.

The Union and each Employee authorizing assignment of wages for payment of the voluntary political action contributions hereby undertakes to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless from all claims, demands, suits and other liability that may arise against the Employer for or on account of any deduction made from the wages of such Employee.

When filed with the District, the authorization form will be honored in accordance with its terms. Upon issuance and transmission of a check to the union, the District’s responsibility shall cease with respect to such deductions. Voluntary Political Action Fund. 18.01 During the term of this agreement, Employer shall deduct a sum specified from the pay of each member of Union who voluntarily executes a political action contribution wage assignment authorization form, provided that four (4) or more employees execute a wage assignment for political action contributions. When filed with Employer, the authorization form will be honored in accordance with its terms. The amount deducted and a roster of all employees using the payroll deduction for voluntary political action contributions will be promptly transmitted to the Union by separate check payable to its order. Upon issuance of and transmission of a check to Union, Employer’s responsibility ceases with respect to such deductions. Union and the employee authorizing assignment of wages for payment of voluntary political action contributions hereby undertakes to indemnify and hold Employer harmless from all claims, demands, lawsuits or other forms of liability that may arise against Employer for or on account of any deduction made from the wage of such employee.
18.02 The parties recognize that union is obligated under the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) to reimburse Employer for its reasonable costs of administering the Political Action Fund deduction. Union shall pay Employer’s reasonable set up costs for administering the deduction. Thereafter, Employer and Union agree that one quarter of one percent (.25%) of all amounts collected for this fund is a reasonable amount to cover the costs of Employer administering this deduction.
18.03 The wage assignment authorization form shall be translated to the appropriate language for non-English speaking employees.
Voluntary Political Action Fund. 2.8.1 If an employee voluntarily executes a UFCW political action contribution wage deduction authorization form in the amount of at least two dollars ($2) per pay period per employee, SRH shall begin effective the first pay day after receipt of the authorization to deduct monthly the sum specified from the pay of the employee.
2.8.2 The parties recognize that UFCW is also obligated under the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) to reimburse SRH for its reasonable cost of administering PAC wage deductions. SRH and the Union agree that one-quarter of one percent (0.25%) of all amounts deducted will be used to reimburse SRH for its reasonable costs of administering these monthly wage deduction authorizations (the “administration fee”).
2.8.3 The amount deducted (net of the administration fee) and a roster of all employees using payroll deduction for this purpose will be transmitted to the Union by separate check payable to its order each month. Upon issuance and transmission of a check to the Union, the Hospital’s responsibility shall cease with respect to such deductions.
2.8.4 The Union and each employee authorizing the assignment of wages for the payment of voluntary political action contributions hereby undertake to indemnify and hold SRH harmless from all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that may arise against the SRH for or on behalf of any such deduction made from wages of such employee.
Voluntary Political Action Fund. 2.3.1 If during the term of this Agreement at least four (4) employees voluntarily execute a Union political action contribution wage deduction authorization form in the amount of at least two dollars ($2) per month per employee, the Hospital shall begin effective the first pay day after such thresholds are met to deduct monthly the sum specified from the pay of each member of the Union who voluntarily executes a Union wage deduction form. When filed with the Hospital, the deduction form will be honored in accordance with its terms.
2.3.2 The parties recognize that the Union is also obligated under the Federal Election campaign Act (FECA) to reimburse the Hospital for its reasonable cost of administering PAC wage deductions. The Hospital and the Union agree that one-quarter of one percent (0.25%) of all amounts deducted pursuant to this Memorandum of Understanding will be used to reimburse the Hospital for its reasonable costs of administering these monthly wage deduction authorizations (the “administration fee”).
2.3.3 The amount deducted (net of the administration fee) and a roster of all employees using payroll deduction for this purpose will be promptly transmitted to the Union by separate check payable to its order each month. Upon issuance and transmission of a check to the Union, the Hospital’s responsibility shall cease with respect to such deductions.
2.3.4 The Union and each employee authorizing the assignment of wages for the payment of voluntary political action contributions hereby undertake to indemnify and hold the Hospital harmless from all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that may arise against the Hospital for or on behalf of any such deduction made from wages of such employee.
Voluntary Political Action Fund. The County agrees to deduct and transmit to the UAW V-CAP Fund, the amount specified from each pay of those employees who voluntarily authorize such deductions on authorization forms, which should be provided for that purpose by the UAW V-CAP Fund. These transmittals shall occur monthly and shall be accompanied by a list of the names of those employees for whom such deductions have been made and the amount deducted for each such employee.

The Union and each employee authorizing the assignment of wages for the payment of voluntary political action contributions hereby undertakes to indemnify and hold the Employer harmless from all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that may arise against the Employer for or on account of any deduction made from the wages of such employee.

Effective upon ratification all new voluntary Political Action Fund wage authorizations shall be a two dollar ($2.00) per pay period minimum contribution level for employees who choose to contribute under this paragraph contribution level.
