WORKING CONDITIONS FOR CERTIFICATED EMPLOYEES. A. CERTIFIED SALARY SCHEDULE FOR TEACHERS AND SCHOOL NURSE The salary schedules for certificated employees applicable to each year of this Agreement appear in Appendix A. The salary of a part‐time certificated teacher will be prorated in relation to the salary paid to a full‐time teacher. The salary of a certified school nurse will be paid on the certified salary schedule using a ninety percent (90%) factor. The normal contract year for certified employees will commence no earlier than August 16th and will consist of one hundred eighty‐three (183) contract days. New personnel may be required to attend additional orientation sessions, which may occur in the week prior to that required of incumbents. The normal workweek is Monday through Friday. The following positions are eligible for the number of days of extended time as indicated which extends their work calendar outside the normal calendar limits: Agricultural Education Teacher 60 Days High School Instrumental Music Teacher 20 Days Guidance Counselor 20 Days (offered first to most senior) Guidance Counselor 15 Days Family Consumer Science Teacher 3 Days Technology Education Teacher (Industrial) 2 Days

  • CONDITIONS FOR EMERGENCY/HURRICANE OR DISASTER - TERM CONTRACTS It is hereby made a part of this Invitation for Bids that before, during and after a public emergency, disaster, hurricane, flood, or other acts of God that Orange County shall require a “first priority” basis for goods and services. It is vital and imperative that the majority of citizens are protected from any emergency situation which threatens public health and safety, as determined by the County. Contractor agrees to rent/sell/lease all goods and services to the County or other governmental entities as opposed to a private citizen, on a first priority basis. The County expects to pay contractual prices for all goods or services required during an emergency situation. Contractor shall furnish a twenty-four (24) hour phone number in the event of such an emergency.

  • Training Conditions 3.1 The Trainee shall attend an approved training course or training program prescribed in the Training Agreement or as notified to the trainee by the relevant State or Territory Training Authority in accredited and relevant Traineeship Schemes.

  • GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS The District has empowered school communities to make decisions at the school level in return for accountability for results. To maximize the likelihood of success, each school must be permitted to implement programs that meet the needs of its students and community. Through a school-based decision-making process, each school will define the staff working conditions necessary for student success. School leadership teams will create and publish annual “school operational plans” which will outline working conditions of staff in the building. Such operational plans will be subject to the Superintendent’s review and approval.

  • Safe Working Conditions The Employer undertakes to maintain office furniture, equipment, etc., in a practical and safe condition in order to avoid injury to employees or damage to their attire. Employees, for their part and in their own interest, are expected to advise the Employer of any such potentially injurious equipment.

  • TEACHING CONDITIONS The parties recognize that the availability of optimum school facilities for both student and teacher is desirable to insure the high quality of education that is the goal of both the teacher and the Board. It is also acknowledged that the primary duty and responsibility of the teacher is to teach and that the organization of the school and the school day should be directed at insuring that the energy of the teacher is primarily utilized to this end.

  • Code of Basic Working Conditions and Human Rights Xxxxx is committed to providing a safe and secure working environment and the protection and advancement of basic human rights in its worldwide operations. In furtherance of this commitment, Xxxxx has adopted a Code of Basic Working Conditions and Human Rights setting out in detail the measures it takes to ensure this commitment is fulfilled.
