Working Days, Hours and Shifts. (a) Employees shall work five (5) days on, and have two (2) consecutive days off, or any other systems agreeable to both parties.

Working Days, Hours and Shifts. (i) Working shifts for Maintenance employees shall be scheduled between 0445 hours and 0215 hours Monday to Saturday and shall include, during weekdays and Saturdays, a thirty (30) minute meal break per shift and a ten (10) minute paid rest break during each half of a shift. For shifts commencing at or after 1800 hours the half (1/2) hour meal break shall be paid, however for day shifts the meal break shall be unpaid.

  • Shift Hours All shifts assigned by the Employer must conform with the following guidelines:

  • Minimum Hours All employees shall be paid their regular hourly rate for each hour worked except where employed for less than four (4) consecutive hours per day, in which event they shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay. An employee who is called for work and upon reporting finds that his or her services are not required shall receive two (2) hours pay.

  • Days and Hours of Work The standard workweek for workers occupying full-time positions consists of 40 hours unless otherwise specified by the Board of Supervisors. The appointing authority shall fix the hours of work with due regard for the convenience of the public and the laws of the State and the County. Workers occupying part-time positions shall work such hours and schedules as the Board and the appointing authority shall prescribe.

  • Consecutive Hours The regular hours of work each day shall be consecutive except that they may be interrupted by unpaid lunch periods. No split shifts will be implemented without the mutual agreement of the Local Union and the Appointing Authority. Each party may cancel such agreement with thirty (30) days written notice to the other party.

  • Overtime Hours Except as otherwise provided in this section, all hours worked in excess of the established work day, before or after an employee's regular scheduled shift, or on any regularly scheduled day off, shall be considered overtime. All paid vacation time, paid holidays, paid sick leave, compensatory time off, and paid leaves of absence shall be considered as "time worked" for purposes of this Article. Part-time employees whose established work day is less than eight (8) hours shall not be considered to be working overtime until having completed eight (8) hours of work.
