WORKING HOURS AND WORK WEEK a. The regular workday shall be eight (8) consecutive hours per day within a twenty-four (24) hour period, broken only by an unpaid lunch period which shall not exceed one (1) hour. The regular work week shall be forty (40) hours per week, consisting of five (5) consecutive work days, Monday through Friday, inclusive, except in the months of May, June, July, August and September of each year when the regular work day may be ten (10) hours per day and the work week shall be Monday through Thursday at the sole discretion of the highway superintendent or employees direct supervisor.

  • Work Week and Work Day (a) (Applicable to full-time employees only) The normal or standard work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours, with a normal or standard work day of seven and one-half (7½) hours except in those Hospitals where agreements already provide a standard or normal work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours per week and seven and one-half (7½) hours per day.   • Flexible Working Hours The Employer will, where operational requirements and efficiency of the service permit, authorize experiments with flexible working hours if the Employer is satisfied that an adequate number of Employees have requested and wish to participate in such an experiment.
