WRITTEN NOTICE OF ASSIGNMENT. When a full-time graduate student is hired for a full graduate assistantship, it is understood that their will not be required to work more than an average of ten hours per week over the academic session to a total of not more than 270 hours. If a fractional graduate assistantship is assigned, the work requirements shall be adjusted accordingly. Once the graduate program director, normally in conjunction with FGS, has determined the GA assignment, the GA will be notified in writing of the assignment, normally no later than three weeks after the deadline for registration in the relevant term. The notice will include the number of hours, the name of the supervisor and the responsibilities. Anyone assigned to positions three weeks after the deadline for registration will have GA hours proportionally reduced without any reduction in pay.

The G.A's graduate programme will normally prepare a "Full-Time Graduate Student Personnel Action Form". In order to ensure payment of the employee on the first regular payday of her appointment period PAFS shall normally be forwarded for processing prior to the 20th of the first month of the relevant term.
WRITTEN NOTICE OF ASSIGNMENT. All employees shall be notified in writing of their assignment, range and step, and annual salary (based on duty days and work hours) prior to July 1 each year. In some cases, it may be necessary for this notification to temporarily read “location of assignment to be determined later.” Operational and emergency exceptions to meeting this date will be communicated to the Association in advance.
WRITTEN NOTICE OF ASSIGNMENT. Every new assignment of a GSE shall be made by the University in writing and outline the basic terms and conditions of the assignment to the extent known at that time. The assignment terms in the provided notice will be maintained for the term of the assignment, unless the GSE’s employment is terminated pursuant to the provisions of Article 10 of this Agreement or the assignment is canceled.

WRITTEN NOTICE OF ASSIGNMENT. Employees under contract will be provided written notice of their placement on the salary scale, salary, and assignment for the forthcoming school year as soon after June 1 as possible but not later than July 1. Changes in assignments for the next school year, or those made after the initial assignment has been accepted, will be made by the Board only after employees are invited to express their preferences. Careful consideration will be given to these preferences. In the event that these changes in assignment are necessary after the end of the school year, all employees affected will be promptly notified of such changes. Employees employed after July 1 of any school year will be advised in writing of their placement on the salary scale, salary, and site assignments for the ensuing school year. The Board will strive to assign teachers in their fields of preparation.
