Appointment in a Higher Class. 415. An employee who is a permanent appointee following completion of the probationary period or an employee who has served six (6) months of continuous service, and who is appointed to a position in a higher classification, deemed to be promotive by the Department of Human Resources shall have his/her salary adjusted to a step in the promotive class as follows:

An employee following completion of six months of continuous service who is appointed to a position in a higher classification deemed to be promotive by the Department of Human Resources shall have his/her salary adjusted to that step in the promotive class as follows:

An employee following completion of six months of continuous service who is appointed to a position in a higher classification deemed to be promotive by the SFMTA Human Resources Director shall have his/her salary adjusted to that step in the promotive class as follows:

An EMPLOYEE who has completed a probationary period of 2080 hours of continuous service, and who is appointed to a position in a higher classification deemed to be promotive shall have his/her salary adjusted to that step in the promotive class as follows: 164. The EMPLOYEE shall receive a salary step in the promotive class which is closest to an adjustment of 7.5% above the salary received in the class from which promoted. The proper step shall be determined by the bi-weekly compensation grade and shall not be above the maximum of the salary range of the promotive class.
