Emergency Rehearsal definition

Emergency Rehearsal means a rehearsal necessitated by the inability of an Artist to perform their full duties due to sickness or injury or other cause, when the Theatre did not have adequate prior knowledge of the emergency in order to schedule a regular replacement rehearsal.
Emergency Rehearsal means a rehearsal necessitated by the inability of an Artist to perform due to sickness, injury, death or the abuse of alcohol or drugs and such an emergency rehearsal must take place within twenty-four (24) hours of the emergency or within twenty-four (24) hours of the arrival of the replacement Artist.
Emergency Rehearsal means a rehearsal necessitated by the inability of an Artist to perform due to sickness or injury when such emergency was not known to the Engager more than six (6) regular (non-overtime) rehearsal hours prior to the said Emergency Rehearsal. Notes or a rehearsal specifically necessitated by an Artist’s sickness or injury occurring one (1) hour or less before the start of a performance or during a performance shall not be considered an Emergency Rehearsal and the payment of overtime shall not be required.

  • Additionally, the Artist shall invoice the Engager for additional services at Rate 2 in Clause 13:09 for any Emergency Rehearsal which invades the overnight rest period.

  • Should such a Emergency Rehearsal invade overnight rest periods or occur on the Artist’s free day, the appropriate overtime rates shall apply and the call shall be deemed to be a minimum of four (4) hours.

  • The minimum call paid for Emergency Rehearsal on the Free Day shall be three (3) hours.

  • If an Emergency Rehearsal is called the Artist shall invoice the Engager for additional services at Rate 1 of Clause 13:01(F).

  • Except in the case of an Emergency Rehearsal, the Artist shall invoice the Engager for additional services under each and every clause as required by this Agreement.


More Definitions of Emergency Rehearsal

Emergency Rehearsal means a rehearsal necessitated by the inability of an ARTIST to perform due to sickness or injury when such Emergency Rehearsal is posted by the EMPLOYER not more than twenty-four (24) hours after the EMPLOYER learns of the emergency or when the EMPLOYER can submit proof to the AGMA delegates that the rehearsal could not have been scheduled at any other time. In any case, the ARTIST called for Emergency Rehearsals will receive one and one-half (1-1/2) times the hourly rehearsal rate, defined as the A2 Rate as provided in Paragraph 11(i). See Paragraph 40(c) for Emergency Rehearsal on tour.
Emergency Rehearsal shall be defined as an unplanned rehearsal necessary to train performers in new roles or movements due to unforeseen circumstances such as the injury or illness of a planned performer.
Emergency Rehearsal means any previously unscheduled rehearsal necessitated by the inability of an Artist to perform due to sickness or injury or by other factors not within the Employer’s control, when such emergency was not known to the Employer more than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the rehearsal, or when the Employer submits proof to the AGMA Delegate that the rehearsal could not be scheduled at any other time because of such emergency. The Artist called for Emergency Rehearsal will receive regular overtime, or the Penalty Rate during off-span, if otherwise applicable. If such Emergency Rehearsal replaces, or is added to, an already scheduled rehearsal, the affected Artists shall nonetheless be compensated for the Emergency Rehearsal at a rate equal to 50% of the Overtime Rate calculated in fifteen (15) minute increments.

Emergency Rehearsal means a rehearsal necessitated by the inability of an Artist to perform the Artist’s full duties due to sickness, injury, or other cause. Emergency rehearsals shall be allowed only when the Engager did not have adequate prior knowledge of the emergency in order to schedule a regular replacement rehearsal. Such emergency rehearsal in no case shall exceed the running time of the opera. No additional services fees shall apply for such emergency rehearsal unless it invades the overnight rest period or the free day. The Artist shall invoice the Engager for the additional services at Rate 2 as specified in Clause 11:09(C) if the emergency rehearsal invades the overnight rest period. The overnight rest period may be reduced by one (1) hour by the full company by secret vote. When an emergency rehearsal is called on a free day the Artist shall invoice the Engager for the additional services at Rate 3 as specified in Clause 11:09(C). The minimum call shall be three (3) hours. Nevertheless, the emergency rehearsal shall take place within twenty-four (24) hours of the emergency or within twenty-four (24) hours of the arrival of the replacement Artist.
Emergency Rehearsal means a rehearsal, during performance weeks, necessitated by the inability of an ARTIST to perform due to sickness or injury. EMPLOYER shall post notification of an emergency rehearsal and give personal notice to every ARTIST affected not more than twenty-four (24) hours after the EMPLOYER learns of said emergency. The Artistic staff may cancel scheduled rehearsal hours in order to facilitate the scheduling of an emergency rehearsal; such canceled rehearsal hours will not be counted as part of daily or weekly compensable hours. Emergency rehearsals will be paid as regular hours worked subject to the same overtime and penalty conditions of regular rehearsal. Any consequences to other scheduled rehearsals due to the emergency rehearsal shall be paid at the applicable rate. Emergency rehearsal hours shall be counted as part of daily and weekly compensable hours payable in one-quarter (1/4) hour increments.
Emergency Rehearsal means a rehearsal necessitated by the inability of an Artist to perform due to illness or injury. For the health and safety of the Artists and the artistic integrity of a performance, rehearsal or notes specifically necessitated by an Artist’s sickness or injury occurring when no regularly scheduled rehearsal time is available prior to a subsequent performance and/or dress rehearsal shall be considered an emergency rehearsal and the payment of overtime shall not be required. An Emergency Rehearsal shall not continue for more than sixty (60) minutes.
