A Part. Time Employee is a person employed by the Day Care who regularly works less than the full time hours as specified in Article 17.
A Part time teacher shall mean a teacher employed under Contract of Employment to provide service for less than the regular hours of instruction per school year as established by the Employer’s policy.
A Part. Time Employee who works a full basic tour on any day is entitled to the same paid rest periods as provided to Full Time Employees in accordance with Article 27. A Part Time Employee, whose complete tour is four (4) hours without a meal break, will receive a fifteen Paid Holidays
A Part. Time Employee is an employee (other than a casual employee) who is engaged to work regularly for an average of fifteen ordinary hours or more per week but less than an average of thirty eight ordinary hours per week. In determining the regularity or otherwise of employment, regard will be had to any period of four weeks. Any hours worked by an employee to replace temporarily another employee absent from duty which are in addition to those which the employee normally works will not be taken into account.
3.3.2.1 Payment For ordinary working hours a part-time employee must be paid the hourly rate defined for the work performed, and be entitled on a pro-rata basis to annual leave, personal leave and public holidays.
A Part. Time Employee is entitled to a pro-rata entitlement to annual leave based on all hours of work.
A Part. Time Employee who works an average of five days each week will, if a public holiday falls on a day on which the Employee has worked in the preceding four weeks, by Mutual Agreement with Freedom, either:
(a) be paid a payment equal for the average number of ordinary hours the Employee has worked on the day in the preceding four weeks paid at the Ordinary Hourly Rate; or
(b) be allowed a paid day of the average number of ordinary hours the Employee has worked on the day in the preceding four weeks off in lieu. Ordinarily, it is expected that the day off will be taken within 28 days of the public holiday or during the week before the public holiday.
A Part. Time Employee, a Permanent Part-Time Employee and a Temporary Employee will be paid overtime, compensated at time and one-half, on completion of eighty-four (84) hours of work in a bi-weekly pay period.
A Part. Time Employee’s salary, leave and allowances (other than allowances that are of a reimbursement or expenses nature) will be on a pro rata basis.
A Part. Time employee displacing, bumping or converting into a Full-Time position shall be required to work the Full- Time hours as provided for in Article 18.02.07 with recall provisions in accordance with this Article.
A Part. Time employee may be assigned to work less than the basic hours of work per day but not less than a half tour.
