It is intended that the standards, obligations and duties imposed by this Article II shall be maintained and complied with by Lessee in addition to its compliance with all applicable governmental laws, ordinances and regulations, and in the event that any of said laws, ordinances and regulations shall be more stringent than the standards, duties and obligations imposed on Lessee hereunder, then Lessee shall comply with such laws, ordinances and regulations in its operations under this Agreement. Noncompliance with any governmental law, ordinance or regulation, the validity of which shall be contested in good faith and with reasonable promptness, shall not be interpreted as a violation of this covenant until such contest shall have been abandoned or the time for objection or appeal has expired.
