Additional Education Leave. Nurses approved for, and participating at Level II, III, or IV of the Clinical Ladder Program, or who have been approved and receive payment for a Certification Differential, shall be eligible for 8 hours of paid education leave annually, in addition to those hours to which the nurse might otherwise be entitled pursuant to Article 20, Section E.1.

Additional Education Leave. Clinicians approved for, and participating in the 20 Nursing Clinical Ladder Program or a Clinical Advancement Program, or who have 21 been approved and receive payment for a certification differential, shall be eligible 22 for eight (8) hours of paid education leave annually, in addition to those hours to 23 which the clinician might otherwise be entitled pursuant to Article 13.E.1. 24 25 G. Educational Expense Reimbursement: 26 1. PHHH will reimburse clinicians for the fee(s) (such as exam or application 27 fees) associated with obtaining approved certifications (as described in 28 Section A.4 of this Appendix) once the clinician successfully obtains the 29 certification(s) or recertification(s). 30 31 2. Clinicians approved for, and participating in the Nursing Clinical Ladder 32 Program or a Clinical Advancement Program, or who have been approved 33 and receive payment for a certification differential (as described in Section A 34 of this Appendix) shall be eligible for reimbursement up to three hundred and 1 fifty dollars ($350), in addition to the expense reimbursements they may 2 otherwise qualify for pursuant to subparagraph (1) above, to defray the cost 3 of registration and attendance in connection with the additional paid 4 educational leave set forth in paragraph F above. 5 6 APPENDIX C - HEALTH, DENTAL, AND VISION INSURANCE‌ 7 PHHH and the Union agree that the clinicians will participate in the medical, 8 prescription, dental, and vision plans, as offered to the majority of PHHH employees, 9 provided, however, that XXXX agrees that the plan will have the following provisions in 10 2024, subject to the terms and conditions of the plans:

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund effective January 1st, 2013 and each year thereafter, two thousand ($2,000.00) for the purpose of providing Paid Education Leave. Said Paid Education Leave will be for the purpose of upgrading the Dependent Contractor’s skills in all aspects of trade union functions. Such monies will be paid into a trust fund established by the National Union, Unifor and sent by the Company to the following address: Unifor Education Leave Program c/o Unifor 000 Xxxxxx Xxxxx Xxxxxxx, XX X0X 0X0 The Company further agrees that members of the bargaining unit selected by the Union to attend such courses will be granted a Leave of Absence without pay for twenty (20) days class time, plus travel time where necessary, with said Leave of Absence to be intermittent over a twelve (12) month period from the first day of leave. Dependent Contractors on such leave will continue to accrue seniority and benefits during such leave.

  • Education Leave If required by the Hospital, an employee shall be entitled to leave of absence with pay and without loss of seniority and benefits to write examinations to upgrade his or her employment qualifications. Where employees are required by the Hospital to take courses to upgrade or acquire new employment qualifications, the Hospital shall pay the full costs associated with the courses. Subject to operational requirements, the Hospital will make every reasonable effort to grant requests for necessary changes to an employee's schedule to enable attendance at a recognized up-grading course or seminar related to employment with the Hospital."

  • Employment Relations Education Leave Employment Relations Education Leave will be allowed in accordance with the Employment Relations Act.

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • Continuing Education The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • Professional and Education Leaves (a) Leave of absence with pay or without pay may be granted to employees to attend professional and educational meetings, courses, or other events which may be judged beneficial to the employee's professional development, especially as it relates to her responsibilities with the Employer.

  • General Education University Program Requirements All MTA applicable courses require a grade “C” or higher

  • Educational Leave Leave without pay may be granted for educational leave for the duration of actual attendance in an educational program.

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.
