Annual Leave / Sick Leave each day of annual leave or sick leave shall be calculated and paid according to the number of hours rostered to work on the day of such leave.
Annual Leave / Sick Leave. 7.1. The Employee shall be entitled to payment of 24 (twenty four) annual leave days in respect of each year of employment pursuant to this Agreement. 7.2. The annual leave days to which the Employee is entitled are accruable, provided always that the Employee shall not be entitled to accrue in any working year seven of the annual leave days to which he is entitled and in total the Employee shall not be entitled to accrue more than 100 days for the purposes of redemption and 30 days for the purposes of taking actual leave. Employee shall not be entitled to redeem any outstanding leave days remaining at his disposal during the term of his employment, and such, if any, shall be redeemable only upon the Employee‘s termination of employment. 7.3. The Employee is entitled to sick leave and sick pay at the rates and times prescribed by law. Sick leave shall not be redeemable. The Employee shall be entitled to accrue up to 90 (ninety) days for the purpose of taking actual sick leave. The Employee shall be entitled to convalescence pay at the rates and times prescribed by law.

(i) Every employee who completes one year on alternative hours of work as above shall receive one-week shift leave in place of the provisions set out in clause 17.3. No employee shall be required to work more than 12 consecutive hours where their normal shift is of 8, 10 or 12 hours duration except in an emergency. Wherever possible an employee changing duties on consecutive days shall be rostered off for a minimum of 12 consecutive hours.
Annual Leave / Sick Leave. Convalescence Pay. Military Reserve Service 8.1. The Employee shall be entitled to payment of 22 (twenty two) annual leave days in respect of each year of employment pursuant to this Agreement.

Related to Annual Leave / Sick Leave

  • Annual Leave Employees (other than casuals) will be entitled to four (4) weeks paid annual leave per annum, provided that Continuous Shiftworkers shall be entitled to one additional week’s paid annual leave.

  • Vacation Leave 11.1 Employees will retain and carry forward any eligible and unused vacation leave that was accrued prior to the effective date of this Agreement.

  • Family Sick Leave An employee may use sick leave credits for family illness or injury only if the employee must provide direct care to an immediate family member. For purposes of family sick leave, “immediate family member” will mean the employee’s parent, spouse, or child, including step-child and xxxxxx child.

  • Sick Leave The employee is eligible for long term disability benefits if provided for in the Collective Agreement. An employee will not receive pay for the first two (2) weeks of any period of absence due to a legitimate illness. The employee may utilize the paid holiday bank as income replacement for absences due to illness, as described in Article (c) above. An employee who is eligible may apply for Employment Insurance for weeks three (3) through seventeen (17) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. The Home will provide the employee with Disability Income Protection as per Article 14.01 (c) for weeks eighteen (18) through thirty (30) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. Employees may be required to provide medical proof of illness for any absence of a scheduled shift, which is neither vacation nor an approved leave of absence.
