Sick leave and sick pay. 7.1. Subject to the ADGM Employment Regulations, the Employee shall be entitled to sick leave in accordance with the Company’s policies for sick leave and entitlements for salary during the sick leave period.
Sick leave and sick pay. (A) In cases where the Managing Director is absent due to sickness, The Company provides additional benefits over and above any entitlement to Statutory Sick Pay. The sickness year runs from the date of sickness on a rolling year basis. The Managing Director is entitled to the following payments for sickness absence: - 26 weeks at full pay, thereafter - 26 weeks at half pay Any further payment made is purely discretionary. All payments include Statutory Sick Pay. As with SSP entitlement, the Absence Notification Procedure must be followed in order to qualify for payment. In the event of abuse of the scheme the Company reserves the right to withdraw or amend the benefit or take disciplinary action. Where payable, sickness or industrial injury benefit must be claimed from the DSS and any benefit received must be notified to the Company. Such benefits will be deducted from the above entitlements. The Company's Sick Pay Scheme does not prevent the Company from terminating an individual's employment prior to the expiry of the scheme.

Sick leave and sick pay. 12.1 If the Employee becomes unfit for work due to illness or injury, the Employee, or someone on their behalf, will notify Xxxxx X’Xxxxxx, Head of Global Human Resources, as soon as possible and at least one hour before the Employee’s scheduled start time on the first day of the absence, setting out the likely duration of, and the reason for, the absence. The Employee is required to provide a medical certificate in a form satisfactory to the Company for all absences from work for more than three (3) consecutive working days.

Sick leave and sick pay. Whilst you are on secondment, the US sick leave and sick pay rules will cease to apply and will be replaced with the following: If you are ill or unable to work for any reason you will notify the Head of Human Resources, International as soon as possible on the first day of absence of the reasons for your absence and how long it is likely to last. You will be required to complete self-certification forms in respect of any period of absence lasting less than 7 days and to provide a medical Fit Note for any period of incapacity of more than seven days (including weekends). Further Fit Notes must be provided to cover any further periods of incapacity. Provided you comply with these sickness absence procedures you will continue to receive your full salary and contractual benefits during any absence from work due to illness or injury for an aggregate of up to 40 working days in any period of 12 months. Such payments will be inclusive of any statutory sick pay that may be due but the Company/Amicus Therapeutics may deduct from any such payments the amount of any social security or other benefits that you may be entitled to receive.   • Sick Leave The employee is eligible for long term disability benefits if provided for in the Collective Agreement. An employee will not receive pay for the first two (2) weeks of any period of absence due to a legitimate illness. The employee may utilize the paid holiday bank as income replacement for absences due to illness, as described in Article (c) above. An employee who is eligible may apply for Employment Insurance for weeks three (3) through seventeen (17) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. The Home will provide the employee with Disability Income Protection as per Article 14.01 (c) for weeks eighteen (18) through thirty (30) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. Employees may be required to provide medical proof of illness for any absence of a scheduled shift, which is neither vacation nor an approved leave of absence.

  • Vacation During the Employment Period, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation in accordance with the most favorable plans, policies, programs and practices of the Company and its affiliated companies as in effect for the Executive at any time during the 120-day period immediately preceding the Effective Date or, if more favorable to the Executive, as in effect generally at any time thereafter with respect to other peer executives of the Company and its affiliated companies.
